Liliac is special. Saw them live 1.5 years ago and was blown away. I went to their soundcheck and they were playing Last in Line by Dio and it was unreal. I've met RJD twice in Spokane in the 2000's, ate dinner with Pat Travers and Pat Thrall, Buck Dharma and Eric Bloom prior to shows. Never nervous but I was nervous when I met Liliac and they signed my guitar. So young, petite, friendly, sincere-- I was shaking and will not forget. BTW- played guitar for almost 30 years on the club scene in the PNW- nice to see another Pro who recognizes talent and something special.

Melody sings, play bass and flute, paints, and saved 2 kittens. The rock queen was at home and picking bugs out of their faces. Sam sings and shreds and does a lot of putting together every song.

At one of their shows they included Aiden Fisher of Stranger Things . At the end of their show they went backstage to gather themselves and came back to bring the house down with their encore . Playing "Master Of Puppets " LIVE !!!!

also in there early days, Melo the singer, played bass then an Justin the bass now, played rhythm guitar an Sam played lead guitar. Melo has now learned flute, Sam is learning Violin, Justin is learning guitar, on keys right now and Ethan on bass is learning drums. So these kids are still trying to hone there skill set to be more flexiable as a band, and I think that's just amazing that they have the talent to do all that, not many bands do, and I think it will set them apart in the long run. You mentioned how nice they are, and you may have noticed how much longer Sam and Melody’s hair was back then. When a family friend was diagnosed with cancer, they had their cut and donated to Locks of Love which makes wigs for chemotherapy patients. I always enjoy watching Abby on drums, she always seems so happy and like she’s living her best life behind her kit. ❤️🦇

I think he did some Poly-Rhythmic stuff in the end of that solo.. couldn't see his fingers on that part but you could hear it. Dude!! Great reaction!! You need to start way back when they were little. They were the Cristeas before they became Liliac. I first saw them as Liliac doing crazy train (video) on the Santa monica pier. Melody was like 15-16, Sam - 18, Abbey on drums -17, Ethan on bass-12 and Justin on key boards had to be like 10. Then Maidens the Trooper. These guys are my favorite new band.

LOL you're crazy dude and it's a great way to be. Love the reaction and glad to see you stoked on the kids. A resounding YES on the next one being Master of Puppets ft Aidan Fisher. Killer in your face slap you hard performance. Hope you do that interview and get some of the mags and stations turned on to Liliac so that others can discover them. They need that one break out interview for the stations etc to stop ignoring them simply cuz they don't have a record label that is paying big bucks for the exposure. Thanks to people like you that will have a voice for Liliac. Go back on their playlist and watch their 1st music video of a tribute cover of WILD THING a Troggs original, this video marks their first foray into Rock . Your obviously impressed by Sam's shredding, so check out Liliac's tribute cover of Iron Maiden's THE TROOPER, and see a 12yrs old Ethan shredding also in a guitar duel, in this performance Melody not only sings better than the original artist but plays the bass like a champion . Keep moving forward chronologically, and you find unbelievable well performed and produced tribute covers of Metallica, Black Sabbath, Megadeath, DIO, Nirvana, KISS, Queen, Whitestripes, ,Joan Jett, ETC,ETC. then you come across their 1st album of original songs Chain Of Thorns, featuring MARS also the title song and DANCING IN THE DARK, NOT AFRAID, ETC, this album also introduces their foray into self developed, produced ,filmed and edited official music videos, all made for practically no money . You need to check out their "Master of Puppets" (Official Video) cover. There's two version. One with Adrian Fisher (the guitarist that stood in for Eddie on Stranger Things to play Puppets on the rooftop) and one without (the original version). I'd recommend doing the original version first simply because it's just them, ya know, doing their thing at a special setting. The one with Adrian is a live performance, so it's a bit different as all live performances are, right? Melody does a pretty mean James Herfield too, btw. Not too bad of a Dave Mustaine as well for their cover of "Symphony of Destruction."

Sounds like you've been fanged! Liliac is a great Family, not just a great band. Kiss, I think, claimed to be the hardest working band in show business.. Nope. That's this family. They do a lot of covers because they're indy and it's advertising; but, this is a legit headline act with a massive growing fanbase. They built that from the ground up by working their butts off and being real with people. They're talented, for certain; but, talent is the salt you dash over a dish of developed skill. Melody is a rare talent. And you could say that for each of her siblings. Their work product stands out.. loudly. Who can you think of as a band less than 10 years on that can cover the metal greats and own easily half of the stuff they've covered as if they were made to do it. And they did it largely as kids.. You're a metal head and I think Master of Puppets is perfect for you. Check out their original "Nothing" at some point.. At this point it's an early song of theirs that I consider a favorite. The vid has that low frame count magic of early movies and lends to their 'vamp metal' style incredibly well. Otherwise, there's no magic bullet with these guys in trying to pick something that sounds good, just wave your finger blindly over the screen, grab one and play. Being a promoter, you'll appreciate that they sound great in these vids.. they sound even better live. Cheers. Great reaction and welcome to fangdom.

@@TheMetalMixtape You're very welcome and thank you. I found them on a vacation break listening passively to youtube vids while 3d modelling. It's one of those rare things when your passive entertainment for noise captures your full attention and stops you dead in your tracks. That's what happened. I couldn't get over how good they were and I'd never heard of them. Usually, a group that good, you can't not hear about them. The industry isn't making money off of them so I hadn't heard of them. That's it. They're total indie. And that stunned shock that comes over every reactor listening to them for the first time is what got me watching reactors. Other than Fallout 3 & Fallout 4 soundtracks and new vinyl for old Nena and Falco stuff, I haven't bought new music in 2 decades. Three weeks of playing catchup to their seven years of content and I plunked down cash for their full discography and got the vinyls as well as discs. Takes a lot to impress me that much.
