They have been recognized by Vinnie Appice, Dio drummer, and were even asked by RJD's widdow to perform The Last In Line for the Dio Cancer Fund Tribute, which they were given a previously unreleased version of by Vinnie and had one week to learn the music and make a video. They killed it by the way. All of their original music is awesome too, it has the 80's vibe to it. These kids are amazing.

Welcome to the World of Liliac! The do covers that to me are all tributes to the original. They also have fantastic originals. It's a mix you get with them. They did this live, shorter, on World's Best Show. MeloDia was still on bass then. Justin was only 10 for the show, keys, and MeloDia was around 16 or 17. She was 17 I believe for this cover which went viral. The show, this video, and their Chain of Thorns EP made it possible to have the father do all the booking on their first tour in 2019. Crazy! They busked on the Santa Monica pier for 5 to 6 years in the beginning. Fully independent band. Her main inspiration is DIO. Love your reaction. Ex-drummer myself, she does a great job WHILE being charismatic. They are ALL experienced musicians regardless of their respective ages. The ones to watch right now in 2022 (growing and evolving VERY fast) : Melody, the singer, and Ethan (bass player). Just for you to have a small taste of their talent: look for their cover of « Master of Puppets » and their original « Not Afraid (Extended version) ». The first was released last January; the last, one month ago. I can confirm one thing to you: NEVER I kept a cover from the original artists. But, my playlist includes Liliac covers AHEAD of the original artists. I’ll let you discover yours to keep.

I just came back to your first Liliac reaction . I absolutely love first time reactors . Most mispronounce their name . Then they almost pre apologize after reading they are a family band and very young . Then the magic happens . The band cranks up and Melody starts to wail . As for this video, the way I heard it Dio's son saw/heard this and told his mom Wendy Dio who then told Dio's drummer Vinny Appice about them. Now Vinny Appice is like their adopted uncle. Btw that painting behind them depicting Dio's Rainbow in the Dark and many other Dio inspired things was painted by Melody who is a massive Dio fanatic.

Holy you know what! About 3:40 when she does a huge growl you kind of winced and then smiled and I whistled. That was quite a moment in the song. 100% agree this would be on my playlist. And I'm a fan of the original. Honestly thought at the beginning, before she started singing, I was thinking she would likely hit the notes and be good but not reach that "gravel" in the voice level that Dio could do effortlessly. Well, I was amazed by the gravel and singing talent here. A girl that sounds like Dio....that was not in my vocabulary but it is now. Fantastic!

They are an Independent band by choice, family band of 5 siblings Samuel (23), Abigail (22), Melody (20), Ethan (15), and Justin (14). Managed and produced by their father Florin who has a background in producing and mixing for A&E, Lifetime, and MTV. Their mom Nineta handles merch and shipping. Florin shoots the videos and Sam (Lead guitar) then edits them.

Everything Liliac does is great. This video is about 4 years old now I believe. They performed this song on the CBS Talent Show "World's Best" in like 2018, I think, in a truncated form and then put out this full length video shortly thereafter. So they've grown up quite a bit since then. Their latest is a cover of "Seven Nation Army" by The White Stripes from 2003 i believe. But i must warn you, their appearance has changed quite a bit. They have an all new look for 2022. Up until this year, they were going with a Goth/Vampire look, but now they're going with a 2000s Alt Rock look. But the music is the same hard rock they have been doing all along. But in the meantime, check out their Master of Puppets cover from March 2021 which was the 35th anniversary of the song/album. It'll shock you in how well Melody does a James Hetfield impersonation. Their first big cover was Enter Sandman back in 2017 and many newcomers are shocked at how well she can do a raspy metal voice.
