They were asked by Wendy Dio to perform this song for the Dio cancer fund tribute and were given an extended version by Vinny Appice (Dio drummer) that had never been done by anyone before. They had one week to learn the music and film and edit the video. Liliac is a family band, Sam, lead guitar is 22, Aby, the drummer is 21, Melody, lead vocals is 19, Ethan, bass is 15 and Justin, keys is 13. They are well known for their Dio covers. They have many other covers and their original music is awesome as well.

66 year old rocker chick here who discovered these kids couple years ago and I have seen such growth and progression in them, they have just got me so hooked. I get choked up anytime a Reactor shows them love. Please do more, they're independent and bust their tushies in getting their stuff out there. they call their style vamp metal a play on their heritage dads from transylvania( really), mom from romania too. theyve been performing about 8 years now 1st busking on the pier in santa monica . they were on worlds greatest talent and americas got talent. they are a independant group that produces everything in house as a family.

Welcome to Liliac! These kids/family are fangtastic! Current ages: Sam 22 (lead guitarist), Abigail 21 (drummer), Melody 19 (lead singer), Ethan 15 (bass guitar), Justin 13 (keyboards). Everything they do is top notch, covers are impeccable and their originals are incredible. They consider their genre as "vamp metal" and I'd dare say you'd like the majority, if not all that they have produced to date. A great intro original would be "Mars" live in Cumming GA. I consider it a showcase vid/song that you get to see them playing live on stage, in their element, and the sound quality great. I'm gonna go out on a limb here, I don't normally recommend their only ballad early on but based on what you've said about not really liking metal I'm sure you'll love this. I prefer people get a good feel for the band and their sound before listening to it. Anyways, look up Liliac "Sail Away" [official music video] and get swept away within it. Being a huge Dio fan I love to see these new bands doing covers of great classic rock songs, it’s so cool to see these youngsters getting into my generations rock music. Being a guitarist I can really appreciate Sam’s guitar playing, he’s very accomplished at 22 years old. The whole family is pretty talented, Melody is the singer and yes she’s got a serious set of pipes on her. Melody’s biggest influence is Ronnie James Dio and her voice is that same powerful baritone Dio had. This group of young rockers are going to be big, I put them into the same category as The Warning, another group of young ladies who can rock the house down. Age’s 11to 22. These kids are incredible their father some music producer and as they were born gave them an instrument and got them lessons. Got their start on the Santa Monica pier busking. Lead singers name is Melanie. Guitarist is Sam. Drummer is Abigail. Bassist I think is Justin and I forget the keyboards name. But they’re great they also have tons of other covers that are incredible they crushed everyone. They also have original music which is in half bad they write their own music. Good kids

Great reaction please give them more reaction s maybe stay away from their Metallica and megadeth covers but try their original s nothing and sail away I think you’ll love they are all brothers and sisters Melody is the singer Sam on lead guitar Ethan in bass Abigail on drums and Justin on keys they are a phenomenal band
