They recently announced they are taking a break from doing covers to work on originals . They have a pretty intense tour starting soon , but they are working on an original album . They have already performed a new song live and may add another one during the tour . The new music is fire ! At the shows so far this year the look has been a mix of old and new and whatever the look , they own it ! This video was done in their basement for a cost of around $500 not counting their time of course . Have a rocking day !

First off, I love these Guys! My favorite Band! I love how they mix what they're doing. They came out with a cover LP then the Original Chain Of Thorns then they released their second cover LP Vol. 2 then released their full length Queen Of Hearts and now they're releasing their 3rd Cover LP Vol. 3 while putting their next Original LP together. I hope they never change doing this.

Their overall look is always clean and fresh . They will change it up a bit from time to time and song to song . Our differences are what make us interesting .

They have been playing this song for the most part live in there last concert tour. The just happened to get around to do a video for it. Several of there videos were of songs they had done earlier.

A couple of things. Liliac spent $500 on this music video. This was shot in their basement which is going to be their recording studio so expect more videos in this location. As far as Melody, she's growing up, she's 20 now and she selects her own outfits. As far as Justin getting punched, the song was about someone telling lies or leaking information, the whole couch scene was telling that story, Sam was pointing away from himself, the gist is apparently Justin was the culprit so he got punched for it.

You are correct JW a lot of female artists are over the top when it comes to outfits and some of them are established headline acts and the vampire gypsy look was terrific but they had to evolve as they grew up .

Thank you for being your honest self. So many of us who have criticized out of love, (NEVER rude or mean) have been sliced and diced, and it's not fun. I get to finally see them in July and I am thrilled. I do love how they composed this song to completely own it for themselves!

I find it amusing how many people have said they don’t like their new look, or say what they should or shouldn’t do with it. One of the benefits of being independent is they don’t have any label telling them what their look and sound should be. They are growing as individuals, and as long as the music they make is great, which it obviously still is, then we should respect their style choices and let them have fun exploring them. Although I love what they do with covers, and have several in mind I could see them doing, I’m glad they are going to focus on original material. Time to take the bull by the horns and show the world their immense talent. This moonlight tour is a great way to get them on everyone’s radar.

Liliac is working on a new original album. Madness sounded good Live when I saw them, I've heard like 2-3 samples of other songs that should be on their album. They are on their Moonlight Tour. They have about 40+ dates. So I share your hope they don't burn themselves out working too hard.

I love that Liliac took this song and put their own unique spin on it. Having heard numerous takes on Seven Nation Army, particularly this one, the original and Violet Orlandi's cover I really like them all. Three very different versions of the same song but all great in their own way. As for the new look I feel the changes are a good thing and to be expected as the band members grow up and become adults. They shouldn't have to fit into our little box of what they have to be.

Overall I think it's better than the original. Of course it was bound to sound more full, Jack is a talented guitarist and vocalist, Meg a somewhat less gifted drummer. So we have improvement in drums, a different take on vocals and guitar, and bass and keyboard that weren't in the original . So we have innovation and outright additions that I think made the song stronger. I'm not that worried about Melody's look, or the video. I'm more concerned about the music. I do agree about the covers; other young bands started out with them and moved on to their own original material. The more they write the better they will get. The improvement between Chain of Thorns and Queen of Hearts was substantial. You've addressed the issue of singles versus albums on the channel. I feel Liliac would be better served to release singles off the upcoming album than waiting, it's been 2 years since any new original material. A certain fanbase refers to them as the eternal cover band and that's unfair. But they could put that to rest by releasing their own songs and throwing in their excellent covers for variety, as Halestorm used to. Great work Liliac and great reaction Iosef!

They owned this. I actually bought this rendition right away. I didn’t really care for the original. I think this was done in their basement. I thought there was a mix of outfits, some uniform, honoring the White Stripes and some very different. Good reaction. I sometimes have to remind myself that she is a 20 year old young woman discovering her sexuality.

Like last time, musically I see your point. However, they can change as much or as little as they want. I am a conservative person by nature, however show business is show business. They started touring before any of the big labled bands started and they are keeping the pace up. Much respect. My mother was a headliner in burlesque. Do you think she dressed like that taking care of my sister and ? Of course not. I see it from a show perspective. She's trying to be the front woman I believe she was meant to be. Do you think that Alice Cooper dresses up for his grandchildren? Same idea. Even though he did try to change I believe in 1975. Didn't work out. I remember back in the day when bands wouldn't come out originals for a few years because time is money back then. A home studio allows you you do some of the writing while recording. Tweaking until they love it. They are about to record their 3rd Album of originals. They wanted to finish the 3rd volume of covers before this summer tour. They have learned about having the best merch table around. Plus they learned music thru covers. Wrote Fever in the middle while they worked on the pier. So you get a mix with them. They are getting better and better and MeloDias voice is very different now than just 2 years ago. That's an old man's take. If my wife recovers enough from her surgery, I plan on seeing them in Butte. You could see them in NY during this tour? Just saying. Love and Respect. Peace. Stay safe. God Speed. FANG 4 LIFE! Love this version didn't care for the original! Thanks for the reaction and comments but as far as their look my philosophy is let them do them, there's a lot worse things at their age that they could be doing I know I was. Thanks again and stay safe! Fang4Life!!

I agree with you to a certain extent, but I feel the only way this band will continue as Liliac and not go their seperate ways is to let them express themselves... my fear for Melody is that the talent speaks for itself, and if the looks get any more extreme, it may overshadow her talent. I don't care what she looks like for me to enjoy watching her perform. Her new outfits may be more alluring to some people, but when I saw her perform live in the Mars video, with all of the emotion she put forward, my thoughts were, what a beautiful young woman with a voice of an angel. I will continue to follow this band, as long as they exist. They are renewed hope for new music in this genre - and I can't get enough. If Melody came out in a rain poncho or a bikini, I wouldn't care - and as long as the band stays together, I'm happy. RORH.

Sam's Solo in this is my Favorite part. Punching Justin is my least. LOL They are releasing a new Cover CD, that includes this song. Now that they are able to put that behind them, they are now back to all originals, for the next LP. Hoping for a release around the first of the year, but that maybe asking a bit much.

I don't know I can see where you are coming from. I think they are maturing and looking for a sense of themself. Their father said that this would be the last cover for awhile. They will be doing orginals from now on. All I know is "I Like Them"!!!!

Great reaction , they made this video in their basement for practically no money , they tend to make their covers this way and reserve their more artistic and more costly productions for their original songs . They are currently writing a new album of originals and I for one can't wait . As to their new look it was inevitable that they would evolve every band that's ever been has , its natural and I like their change . This cover for me is way better than the original , they took an alright song added the Liliac touch and made it their own . FANG4LIFE RORH

If you want to see them performing this live in concert in the style your used to go to their KZbin page and look for it when they played the "Blue Note" in Harrison OH 02/12/2021 it's phenomenal the way she sings it live it's different from this.

This is the new revamped version. They started playing this version live, at the recent Atlanta show. There is video of it. They had to wait until this video version was released, so they didn't ruin the surprise.

I knew you were going to comment on the new look. I have hair envy too... however, for me, mostly, I LOVE Melody's goth look with long hair. That, to me, is her differentiator, even her trademark. She is sexy in goth. Her face is kind of round for short hair, its just not best look. Also, the lead guitarist, I also liked him with long hair... hard to head bang with short hair too.... it takes away the "metal" look to me.

They did NOT put a lot of money into this video, it was shot in their basement like most of the others. So total cost was roughly $500 + Justin's medical bills :) And I have no issue with Melody's new look, she is free to dress as she pleases and she is actually no longer a "kid" (I would probably be more apt to agree with you if she was younger). Melody is practically an adult as she turns 21 this year, and he has indeed grown into a beautiful young woman, so if she wants to show that off a bit, more power to her. It has nothing to do with the music, so it does not bother me at all. Speaking of ages, 3/5 of the band will soon be legal adults, so time to take "for being so young" out of the narrative :)
