Time for part two of this era. They covered Enter Sandman at the same studio, and I think is their largest viral video to date, with around 10M views on YT alone. This one hits as hard, if not harder than the Trooper. Abigail beats them skins like they broke in the house, and stole the cat.

Iron Maiden was my absolute Favorite band growing up. when i saw this video on there You tube channel it blew me away . Its all thanks to Harry and Sharlene reacting to Liliac's Nothing video that got me interested it them .

What's funny about Liliac is that if you do a deep dive in their channel, their oldest videos are pop songs, mostly covers, with Sam singing lead and sometimes with Abigail and Melody as his backing singers and/or dancers. While I haven't heard them say anything official along these lines, I believe that Melody got old enough to where her voice started to get noticed and things were shifted to what you see in this video. I'm sure you know this by now, but "The Trooper" is an Iron Maiden cover. It's one of their more popular songs and is the main song I used to strengthen my fingering technique on the bass when I was just starting out. Nemophila did a great cover of it, too.

Hey you two, this is a FANG Favorite. Iron Maidens The Trooper! Reason it's a Favorite is Ethans solo. He was around 12 and Justin around 10. When they were on the World's Best show they were going to play Crazy Train first. The network thought they'd say yes so they built a beautiful Crazy Train set. Then Sharon I guess said no. So, Iron Maiden stepped up and gave them permission to play the Trooper. So they played The Trooper on a Crazy Train set. Rock and Roll! Agreed, Melody is a helluva bass player and it was so cool watching her play like that and still give killer vocals. I'm missing that element in their new performances, they had a garage band grittiness back then and I miss it.

The other band that you mentioned was Crooked X out of Oklahoma playing Adrenaline (original song). They were playing in the half pipe at the X Games...they were the only band invited. Sadly their lead guitarist died of a medical problem at 16 years old and the band broke up. Their ranges in age were 16 to 11. They did a European tour opening for Kiss.

For a family band that started out singing pop songs as kids; what happened to them was Melody. She discovered Ronnie James Dio at the age of 15 and lost Her mind. She kicked Ethan off rythem guitar sat Him down and taught Him all the base lines to their songs. That way, SHE could be free to express herself physically in her singing. This is just my humble opinion. The band needs to put the bass guitar back into Melonie's hands more often. Then put Ethan back on rhythm guitar. Many songs required a rhythm and a lead guitar in order to do a great cover, especially when playing LIVE. The Trooper is a perfect example when the band plays Metallica's Enter Sandman. In their cover video, Melanie is on BASS and Ethan is on Rhythm Guitar, Sam is on lead. They've played this live with Melanie as the "FRONT WOMAN. with Etan playing bass, and the song sounds FLAT. Hey, Liliac, either put the bass back into Melonie's hands when the song requires it or hire a bass player. Just for reference's sake, Metalica has two guitarists. Two guitarists are a MUST when playing Metallica songs.

I have stopped listening and following Liliac because of the drastic change in their appearance... Melody and Sam have both cut all their hair off... Sam looks more like one of the back street boys and Melody has changed from total rock star to wearing shiny fairy/butterfly costumes and looks like her new best friends are Barbie and Ken...it’s like the Beatles at the pinnacle of their career switching to cowboy attire...I’m just broken...😫😫😫
