After the destruction of the Black Soulstone, the defeat of the Prime Evil, and the fall of Malthael, Angel of Death, countless lives have been lost and the denizens of Sanctuary find themselves struggling through the darkest of ages. At all? The original Diablo movie even if it’s old af is like a super super interesting story. It’s ages like fine wine. You should def catch up on the lore, but I’m just a sucker for the demon type things. The sun is simple.. hell trying to take over the earth, and you have to stop them.

Still debating if I want to buy this or just watch the game movie… only game I really want is the new final fantasy. I dunno what happened to me I just don’t play video games anymore. Gosh I still haven’t played gow or hogwarts legacy yet. Something is wrong with me. Just hard to start, like a book, but when I start I get into it. It’s weird.

If gameplay matter the most for you, it might be worth a buy if this is your type of game. If you buying for the story, don't buy. It's literally just diablo 1 all over again.

I'm dissapointed we didn't get to fight him. I was hoping she was ripping his wings off and him becoming a disheveled half angel demon, languishing in agony and insanity until we show up to put him down.

She still loves him probably, their are lover and incurred both heaven and hell wrath by being together. She wants him to suffer for what he did to her so she played his mind. but the instant she saw his broken, suffering like her had been before she just kill him outright, probably out of pity.

But the writing is terrible, Like...So Inarius is just canonically stupid? I don't get this surface level of appreciation for the theme when it's all surrounded with contrivances and characters being assassinated to get the ending the writers wanted.

@@Barricade706 Yeah, I do agree that the story as a whole is pretty shallow. I was disappointed that we didn't get to see some of Inarius' torment or why he became so obsessed with returning to the Heavens. But damn it this cutscene was pretty well done. And I definitely think it would have been more impactful if they properly fleshed out Inarius' motivations or at least had a couple of more fights between Inarius and Lilith before she finally ended him etc. Of course, my expectations of Blizzard are extremely low at this point, so I'm only intending to appreciate the story on a surface level. I've learned my lesson and not get too attached to this sort of shit or expect more than this, because it's just too damn disappointing all the time.

It's clear they're *trying* to make this like the gritty 1st & 2nd games... but... it's too late. D3 was basically a pachinko machine marketed to 11 year olds, and *modern* Blizzard sure as hell isn't gonna be able to get around that legacy.
