Depends if he can read the polls, Brian keeps saying that Trudeau isn't stupid, and can read a poll as well as the next guy. If that's true, he'll know he can't win the next election, and if that's the case, he certainly wouldn't be able to tolerate losing it. So his best bet would be to resign, that way he could claim he was always undefeated because everyone loved him so much. You see his narcissism cuts both ways. I'm still undecided on whether he'll stay or go, but the argument I just presented above is the one plausible one that says he won't stick around.

I think this is a careful what you wish for scenario, him resigning will not result in an election. It will only result in someone else taking the reins, have you seen the other ministers that he surrounds himself with? Are there any of them that you would really think will do less damage? There's no doubt that Trudeau is the absolute worst prime minister that Canada has ever seen, potentially one of the worst leaders in the history of the modern world.
