Carnivore people need to hear this. I left one of the large carnivore Facebook groups recently because everyone was so determined to tell each other how they're not doing the diet properly. It ended up being almost every post where someone was being criticised. I eventually left the negativity and ultimately stopped eating carnivore. I'm now back on it but I won't be joining the group. Very refreshing to hear your balanced views :)

My big challenge to carnivores is this: There are people in your group who do not do very well on a more restrictive lion diet. Therefore, can you really be so sure that some people wouldnt do better by adding in some fruit, cruciferous vegetables, milk, and maybe even some grains?

I had the same thing with a Keto group. They were obsessive people and it was weird. The more rigid and restrictive you are the harder it is to keep to a diet. It should be a lifestyle change, and so what if you eat badly sometimes because you're at a dinner party or whatever? You get over it and continue on. Your lifestyle becomes the norm not the exception. Don't beat yourself up.

Beth here....YAY! The carnivore "influencers" are finally saying what I've been thinking...thank you dear ❤️ I'm 62 years old, fairly healthy now. Started this WOE journey to help me feel better. All the crazy info out there was just that CRAZY! I eat mostly animal based foods...but when strawberries were in season here, i ate strawberries. Blueberries are in season now so I'm eating some blueberries. I'll have some green beans and cucumber and tomato out of my garden when they're ready. As long as I stay away from the fake food I'm doing good. Oh, and i drink coffee whenever I damn well feel like it 😂

I am probably 90% carnivore 10% of something else; I have been on this eating pattern almost three months; I have eaten vegetables at times; had a an alcoholic beverage on occasion; occasionally I have found a veg did not agree with me; probably won't that particular veggie again; I feel better and have lost 23 lbs. have many more to go; but I want to do this slow. Overall I eat only meat probably 5 days out of 7 and it works for me.

Such a reasonable human being. I gave in to carbs one day… and some old thoughts came in, like “I’ve messed up, the day is ruined,” but I stopped myself and went and had some ground beef anyway. Why punish myself by taking away protein and nutrients because I had some crap? - My mindset has been very unhealthy about food before and I’m trying really hard to have a good relationship while also avoiding what I know is poison (packaged crap, not a random vegetable). I’m so grateful for you, Lillie! If you’re ever house hunting in northern Missouri, you’re welcome to stay on our little farm. We’re raising our own bacon. 😂❤

I love the positive message here. I have actually dabbled in both vegan/vegetarian and the carnivore/ketovore diets. Watching videos of both of them it really boils down to what works best for you and what you are most comfortable with. My wife preferred vegetarian. Ketovore works best for me. Let’s try and help people be better and feel better and not judge everyone for how they are managing their dietary decisions.

That #2 point is so good: The internet is FULL of people who won't do anything without asking permission from their favorite content creators. This holds true for diet, shows to watch/games to play, what color scheme to choose for their living room, etc. You don't need permission! If mostly carnivore works, but you still want honey, maybe some fruits or a green veggie now and then, or indulge in a little pasta on rare occasions? Do it! Just do so in moderation, and stay on track whenever possible. Also, you should be revolving carb intake around your exercise schedule to burn the energy it provides.

Granted I could use some improvement like anyone I suppose, but I have maintained a healthy lifestyle the majority of my life. Upon entering the carnivore community however, I found there isn’t much content for the “middle man”. There is a lot for the super athletes, people with past eating disorders, and a lot for the diabetic community, but very little in between, IMO. That is why I love your channel! I got canned from a Carnivore subreddit because my post mentioned the word "coconut" in it (it wasnt even the point of my post!!🙄) You are spot on that some people just want you to "carnivore harder!!", even if that may not be what you personally need to feel your best. I also experimented briefly with beef only for a week.....and i love my ribeyes, but i almost quit the diet over that! I was getting so repulsed by the meat and fat. That was when i realized i need a variety of animal foods-eggs, bacon, chicken, duck, turkey, bone marrow, bone broth-for me to stick with it. And the occasional coffee, tea, dark chocolate, and coconut cream. That is how i carnivore! Very important message today, thank you for the reminder!

Great information Lillie! Your honesty is much appreciated! You are so right, I was just telling someone who works out A LOT about Paul Saladino's way of eating, and how it would not work for me. You provided great examples!!! "Lots of Nutrients Diet" Love it!!

The carnivore diet started as people that wanted to find out what was causing them x disease or problems. The most nutrient dense food that you can eat is wild game. Most people do t have access to that so they eat meat from the grocery. It’s an elimination diet that you can start adding things back that don’t cause you problems. The natural progression is to move into keto if the stuff you add isn’t causing x disease to come back, flare up, or problems. When eating Carnivore you are already in ketosis so moving to a ketogenic diet makes sense if you want to add stuff back slowly. The thing is you just can’t jump back into it. I like your message and people need to realize that most of the things they eat are terrible for you. People have been eating meat since the dawn of man.

Thank you so much Lili Kane. This video was absolutely fantastic. I found it so informative. I must admit. I have felt a bit guilt eating a full fat natural greek yoghurt everyday and some cheese on occasion. But I feel really good. Thank you from Debra in Mallorca Spain ❤❤❤❤❤

Wonderful! So glad you enjoyed the message and I hope the yogurt and cheese become a part of joy in your life rather than guilt. I have cheese and yogurt every day ;) Stay smiley!

Thank you for this video. It takes the pressure and anxiety of eating this way. I have been listening to alot of people in this community and have been so confused and as well disappointed because i did not follow to the exact T. What so and so said. I end up binge eating on sweets. I am not blaming anyone i am just trying my best to be healthy and fit. With so much information its hard to streamline it all. This video has helped me to see that i need to find what is best for me and listen to my body. Thank you Lilly!
