I feel like many people struggle with finding friends. Especially if you live abroad. I left my home country 10 years ago. I studied in Thailand for 4 years, met my now husband there as well, then we traveled with him. We visited many countries but didn’t find real friends though. And only now when we finally settled in Thailand again and had kids we found some good friends. We share our life here on KZbin if you’re interested 😉

Dear Lilly, I am so pleased that you have a bunch of reliable friends, also that there are many of us on youtube who feel so close to you and your family. I feel lonely a lot of the time in spite of the fact that I am really friendly and a warm person, the opportunities to make friends here are quite limited. Have moved from Romania to the UK 20 years ago and live in the countryside close to a provincial town. Your videos are a breath of fresh air, you relate so well to people and I love listening to you talking about your life, sharing your inner thoughts, your love for God. It hurts me when some people try to discourage you with their comments regarding the content of your videos. Sharing the day to day struggles and triumphs is what makes people connect. It is so beautiful that the Holy Spirit leads you. You cannot ever please everyone, just ignore the rude criticism. During this dark, cold and rainy days during the winter, watching you by the sea, walking, meeting people is such a delight. Nam and your family are a treasure. Your genuine desire to help people is an inspiration. Your other channel is amazing and it must have been very hard to share your testimony. Perhaps connecting with people like Doreen Virtue would be a great opportunity to make your testimony and love for Jesus known and inspire other people. Also they may be able to direct believers to your channel. Regarding the coffee, wow, it is my only vice. I drink lots and lots, however, the decaf version is fantastic and guilt free. If you drink caffeinated coffee, in order to not get the jitters is best to take a vit B1. (have learned from Ben Grenfield, a great biohacker who is also a Jesus follower). You would be perfect for a good coffee commercial... the joy when you taste a good cappuccino cannot be expressed in words. You will always be successful because you are not afraid of failure, your faith will keep you strong. A wonderful model for your children. May lots more blessings come your way.

I regognise your former struggle to finding friends. I'm in a similar position right now. My best friend of 30 years died of cancer, some other friends I lost for different other reasons. It's difficult to start new meaningful friendships..,especially at the age of 60 and not working (due to illness). Great advice about doing that thing you have in your mind to do! I remember there was a time when I was divorced and I had a best friend and a man whom I thought was my soulmate (and maybe he was! Doesn’t always mean you should be with that person) and he was a total user and we broke up the exact same time my best friend found the love of her life and dumped me too! I went to the club we always went tobecause I still liked to dance and hang out and I was sitting there one Friday night with all these ppl who were there with other ppl and I had no one and all these ppl around me and I said to myself , “ all these ppl and I am so alone”. I actually like being alone now….I remarried my husband and we each do our own thing and I don’t think I’ve ever been happier! I can attest to change! I’ve been humiliated, so sick I thought I was dying, alone, broke and just hang in there, thing s do change! I will add for anyone who feels desperate or alone that I believe God gives everyone a window of opportunity, or that life raft but you have to take it, have to get on it . Thanks for your videos! I always feel encouraged after watching

Hey Lily- loving both channels! You’re really on a roll… ada girl! This video was another gem. So relatable! I always had a bff and a handful of girl friends growing up. Then once I graduated college and got into a relationship I lost all friendships. I thought things would change after my breakup but no… been on my own for a long time and although I’ve made many acquaintances I haven’t developed close friendships. On one hand I KNOW God has let me alone for my own development. this time alone has REALLY taught me who I am, What I want and who I want to be in the world. And I find the better I know myself the picker I am about choosing potential friends. I’ve come across people with shifty morals/values and don’t need that in my life.I am definitely someone who has found the gift of loving (almost too much) my own company. However, as a social creature that we humans are I do miss having a friend to chat with. I’m blessed to be very close to my mom and sister but these relationships are not the same. Your words that nothing stays the same were a great reminder. I never rant on KZbinrs comments but you just draw me in with your genuineness! Thank you for sharing. And I luv the coffee too! Only the morning cups tho, otherwise don’t sleep. Be well 💛

Lilly I do know Loneliness…When my Health from my Spine DISEASE started I LOST EVERYTHING……I had to Leave my Job in 2012 and Eventually My Husband didn’t want me anymore that was in 2017….So these last year’s have been the hardest….I have only had 2 men in my life and both were my Husbands and now at my age NO Man want’s a woman bent over that’s losing her Free walking Men my age want someone To take care of them…..The Pain from my second Husband is still so RAW that I just couldn’t give myself to anyone at this time and maybe NEVER again……We all go through SOMETHING if you live long enough …… Lilly You are still Young and have so much MORE to come into your Life so many BEAUTIFUL Thing’s coming your way….. When I was notified that your video was uploaded, I asked my son if he could go get me a Starbucks dark roast and a cheese danish to enjoy while watching your video!! I had to chuckle when you devoted a few minutes to coffee drinkers!! I can totally relate to your loneliness. I have been living mostly alone the last 3.5 years, mostly due to health issues and I gained a lot of weight so I was embarrassed for my old friends to see me. But this year 2023 things are changing. I’m going to start traveling more. I’m moving to Colorado to go to Charis Bible College, and focusing on my KZbin channel again. You’ve been a huge inspo to me Lilly!! I’m 38 too!! Having lived in Bangkok four years, I understand the loneliness. Women have a far different experience than men, and we tend to move on, which makes it difficult for those who stay. It hurts forming an attachment or fondness for a new friend, only to have her move back to her home country or to another part of Thailand. Not many long term expat women, but I am seeing an increase since I left in 2005.

I am in the US but I did live a year in Vietnam. I am American born and American Native (not many of us left.) I can honestly say it was a lot easier making friends in Vietnam. I also have autism. The stigma of being an adult with autism is horrific. Plus America is so divided right now it’s hard for anybody to make friends here. I have the same best friend since 17, 38 now. Blessed I am for that. I would like to pray today that all Gods people will find each other. 🙏🏻😇✝️ No one should be lonely.
