Gotta click on the flocks of birds directly and send your cat to it for guaranteed feathers. Had a sim and a single cat get a house started just through feathers. Having 1 of each kind of feather lets you combine them into a Owl statue that you can sell for a pretty decent amount as well.

I believe you need to click on the flocks of birds that are around to send them off hunting. It gets you feathers more often. And if you save the feathers, you can trade the collection in for a statue that's worth a lot of money.

If you were to do all these challenges over again I think it’d be a great idea to have a list of criteria you are trying to meet in the same amount of time - so like in 10 sim days you need a bed, fridge, counter, walls, door, toilet, shower, etc. and so then you can really compare which ones you are making it and which ones aren’t.

Adopt or shop responsibly is my motto when it comes to animals. Dogs in particular are bred with specific jobs in mind, by getting a dog that suits your needs from an ethical breeder you're not contributing to the shelter system. Ethical breeders will never contribute to the shelter systems, in reality they usually lose money as they're spending much more on the dogs they breed then profit off of them. The money you pay for an ethically bred animal is you paying back vet bills and food cost tbh. Cats imo are the animal you should always rescue, yes I may want a mainecoon but I'm happy to adopt a domestic longhair more so than go out of my way to buy a mainecoon kitten. Ethical breeders also help you guarantee the health of your animal later in life, you'll be informed if a littermate has a disease/illness and will be able to test your own baby for it. Potentially saving that animals life, you'll be able to guarantee your baby if you vant afford to take care of them anymore will go back to the place they were born. To be taken care of by the people who wanted them here in the first place, in which they typically keep them or rehome them to a new loving home! There's nothing wrong with purchasing an animal that was bred with a job mind. But purchasing a "doodle" or "designer breed" will never be okay, if you want a dog that's low shedding just get a poodle. Or rescue one, there's so many previously byb (backyard bred) "purebreds" in the shelter system.

So immediately would like to inform people lol. I so dogs can also give you FEATHERS! from the woohoobush or pee bush!! I have had many feathers from it in a household filled with 6 dogs lol. (current stream that I am working on). I had bunch of puppies, and dogs they give both the purple box and feathers! I have made maybe $500 or so with feathers alone not including the multiple boxes of toys! :). But feathers may be MORE common with cats!
