talking about moving out.. I moved out at the ripe age of 16. I moved into a therapy.. "house" (?) that had 5 other teens living in it. It was lovely knowing them, but overall it actually sucked and I ended up moving back in with my parents just two months later. It was just too early I think moving out will happen when it needs to. of course there is an age difference, but I really don't think you should pressure yourself at all.take your time!

I always love a good art vlog! August is a good month. I've always liked it, too. To me, it was like the sunset of summer, if that makes sense? It's a bittersweet feeling, especially when I was young and it meant summer was over and school was stating up again. But now, it's just beautiful to me. I'll certainly miss it. Haha. But I'm also eager for it to cool down a bit? When does that happen in Florida? XD Anyway, lovely video! Loved hearing about the change in mindset from your last studio vlog! I’ve been debating to apply as a sub at my old high school, and perhaps take a gap year for work then apply to college. I’m in not rush but still worry at times but it’s helpful to hear fellow artist having similar experience. Make me more hopeful:)

There is nothing wrong with using references, girl! But i understand where you're coming from, sometimes we as artists want everything to be more "of us" and less "of others" in a sense. But it's totally okay to use reference images and photos for inspiration or studying, especially studying. ❤️👍

i love using reference images, i defintiely don't think there's anything wrong with it!! i'm trying to lean away from using pinterest references because they tend to be stolen, and to not just copy from others! i also have a problem with becoming reliant on references to the point that i can't draw without one, so that's where my personal issue with references comes from! i still use them all the time and love them!

I have been binging your videos a lot lately. the past few days I've been attempting to recreate "the fisherman and the syren", inspired by your make it gay series, however today I accepted defeat and kinda had a breakdown. I just couldn't do it, the paint wasn't working the way I needed it to and I got really frustrated and angry with myself so I want to ask how do you do it? I'm sure you at one point felt at least similar to that. Having that frustration eat away at you is such a shitty feeling and I really want it to just go away I just feel like I've disappointed everyone by failing, myself included

that is a really hard feeling to get through, i totally sympathize!!! i think i've been a bit of a coward in my career and have tried my best to avoid that feeling if i'm honest. i rarely make large leaps of faith or do anything that i'm not at least 50% sure i can do somewhat successfully. i think you should see this as a learning opportunity! every "failure" is a huge step towards where you want to be! be gentle with yourself, take time off, and when the feelings have cooled off a bit, reflect a bit about the process, and think about what you can do differently next time!
