I began to watch the show because of a review; that was how I first disco it. The review talked about how the show romanticized ignorance. I gave it a look a year later and the show is racist but there is one thing I like about the show: the peaceful settings. In the review it was said she slept with an underage boy and I hated Emily from the get go. A year later after watching the show from ep 1 following on I hated Emily for her ignorance and knowing she slept with a minor. I didn’t know which episode would eventually be her sleeping with a minor. Then I saw the episode finally and all the hatred I had for her sleeping with a minor had disappeared because from the review the guy made it sound like she took advantage of a minor to sleep with but when I finally saw it, the guy looked so much older than he appeared and doesn’t look 17. Also, she was disgusted when she found the truth of his age. That shows that she never would have done it if she had known. I hate Emily for her ignorance but not sleeping with the minor because she made a mistake on that one.
