Shannon Hayden is playing some really tasty guitar licks, awesome actually. A bit Hendrix, a bit Dave Edmonds.....definitely not on the KIT album version. I wish she played the electric guitar on "Small Talk" instead of the mandolin.

+Jim Moore I saw Dave Edmunds once around the late 80's. He was great, but played a pretty short set.

+chasspeed He has always been one of my "guitar heros". I still listen to his classic "Crawlin' From the Wreckage". Loved him in the Nick Lowe fronted band Rockpile. "Girls Talk", "Teacher, Teacher" and many more.

I've got one Rockpile clip on my channel just search "revolver nick lowe city rock" on KZbin and it should pop up. It was taken from the short lived 1978 U.K. punk show "Revolver". For some reason it's my most popular clip.

In the late 70s, groups like Rockpile, Elvis Costello, Graham Parker and the Rumor, Dave Edmunds Group were the antidote to hard-core punk. Me and my buddies still wanted tasty guitar, good male harmonies singing (to us) meaningful words and lots of songs about hot women, fast cars and righteous "protest songs". See: "Oliver ' s Army" by Elvis Costello. BTW. EC wrote the Rockpile classic "Girls Talk". Someone told me recently that Nick Lowe wrote "What's So Funny About Peace, Love and Understanding". That's awesome, if true.

Lily and Madeleine are today's antidote to over produced, high strung "pop" music, IMO.
