The funeral of my Aunt Lily today...she requested this song be played at the end of the service. And she was certainly not averse to some medicinal compound to lighten her last days

2 Corinthians 4:8-12 KJV We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; [9] Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; [10] Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. [11] For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh. [12] So then death worketh in us, but life in you.

@@antonkider7360a little older, I have 2 sons and it was actually through them that this became part of our lives, remember The Night Chicago Died ? that was another one that became part of my sons and all his friends and school mates, they were 13 and 15, it was a great time. Chame we cannot have it back, not only the years but all the nice and happy songs we had then. Thanks Anton for liking this and thanks you tube for bringing back songs that were great and are difficult to find to-day.

This was written and sung by a British group called The Scaffolds, a group of 3 men including Mike McCartney, Paul's brother. Paul produced it. Mike changed his name to McGear, so as not to live in his brothers shoes. Best kept secret ever.

I never realised how dark these lyrics are… Mr Freers took the medicinal compound, and now instead of being shy, he’s become a drug addict, constantly getting high (either that, or he died, and thus flying with the angels) Bony Tony never ate, so he took the medicinal compound… but all it did was make things worse to the point where he was stuck in a wheelchair or was comatose. Ebenezer was going doo-lally and was put in a mental institute… and the medicinal compound he took just made the hallucinations even worse. Then it gets weird… Jonny Hammer either lost his vocal cords, or his mouth fused together, so he couldn’t talk. Aunt Milly suddenly had multiple pairs of legs manifest from her body! Jennifer Eckles changed gender! And, of course, Lilly died regardless of it.
