When this cut to the end I was like NOOOOOO its over already? I didn't expect to get as invested in this as I was I'm 100% new to tekken I've been playing about 3-4 days now and this game is so sick I'm bad but its fun and I'm enjoying learning. My friend who is teaching me the game is a Flame Ruler rank and also watches your stuff and led me here they teach very similarly to how you do and it made learning feel a bit better thank you for what you do I don't think I will play online for at least another week or 2 but I'm really looking forward to getting to the point I can call myself decent at tekken

Hey I'm not as new as you to Tekken solely because I played maybe 2 hours of Tekken 7 lmao to get myself ready I just played the story mode and arcade story then started playing games. I've played like 16hrs total of Tekken 8 and I'm sitting at Warrior rank rn so I hope to eventually see you in my online matches! Heck maybe on a tournament stage someday lmao! Good luck in your Tekken journey!

That's awesome! Perhaps you should get into online play faster than you might feel ready for, because your win / loss ratio doesn't matter. Experience does and when you play online you get actual scenarios to learn from in real time. I guess it just comes down to how you deal with certain situations. Some like to learn in the flames, some like to heat up the oven to get used to the fire.

Tekken always had the reputation of being the hardest fighting game to learn, so I always felt intimidated to try. However, nobody ever said anything about Tekken having the best beginner friendly tutorials when compared to other fighting games. While Tekken is hard, I feel like the barrier to entry is the lowest of all fighting games thanks to channels like yours. Thanks so much for what you do, I never expected Tekken of all things to be the first fighting game that "clicks" with me.

A tip for new players: When launched opponent during match and your mind went blank tryna think combo just throw a 1 jab to float opponent first, with this you get slightly extra time to remember/adjust your move but at the cost of incomplete combo before tornado. Or if you REALLY can't think while something happened so soon just jab jab jab 3 times into fastest tornado move and finish up with ender. It's always better to deal damage towards enemy instead of dropping everything.

Doing combos vs the AI is definitely nice! Confirming the hit and doing the first move is a big part of it. Angles and distances are also different in game. Instead of arcade mode, you can also just set the dummy in practice mode to "CPU". You can set easy CPU at first, and then set it up a bit higher.
@EnderouSama

I think it's interesting that not a lot of people know how in tekken you input the string even if the attacks aren't connecting unlike in say guilty gear xrd where you can just react to your punch hitting and cancel your attacks on hit due to the gatling system. I think this deff is what catches lots of people off guard and especially makes people so surprised when they miss a combo. Thus far i've recognized that this happens because of that system of having to wait for an attack animation to finish. This is really the only way i actually managed to start landing combos and strings in tekken as a whole and the same even goes for soul calibur (even tho that game kinda died fr)

Been watching every stream she's insanely good now even if she's still in orange ranks, that's actually a good sign instead of spamming to the top. She's actually learning. Yes your resting time and not overloading your muscles, including your brain, is very important for learning. Also very much so learning requires failing. Failing means you're experimenting and seeing what works, putting things into practice. She's doin' awesome.
