Everyone making comments about this poor chimp must not know his story. He was rejected by his mother at birth bc he was born with pneumonia and broken ribs. He was raised by humans until he add old enough to go to a sanctuary. Releasing him into the wild isn't an option. He looks perfectly happy to me.

Don't speak rubbish. The chimp should be with other chimps. We all know what happened when he was a baby but he's not a baby anymore. Labani should be with a surrogate mother chimp far away from humans.

Chimpanzees are social creatures, and will need to be with other chimpanzees if they want mental stability growing up. Puberty can make them extremely unpredictable and dangerous, just like human children (pls laugh) due to the hormones that come in place. One woman had her face ripped off by her pet chimp, not a good sight to see. Like the above comment said, a surrogate mother should be there, or it can be left to die in the wild. Nature isn’t really that kind, you see.
