The song is beautiful, but when you understand the story of the Black Crystal Sword it's incredibly powerful and sad. She's mourning the death of her baby while watching her lover go crazy. Ancient Bards is full of amazing songs like this and I can't wait for their new story to begin.

I am from Christchurch New Zealand. For some reason this song has resonated in me for the last few days since the 15 March atrocity in my city (near my home). I do not know why but Sara's voice and the Italian language passage are just so calming. I only hope that 50 people and their surviving families find peace

A friend of mine said they discovered this band, I implored him to listen to all 3 current albums all at once and study the meaning of the story; I've never seen someoe so happy and satisfied with it. If you listen to just a few songs of theirs, please, PLEASE take the time to listen to the first to last songs, even if you need to follow the lyrics. It's like a film. You can imagine the storyline in your mind, and you have Sara singing it to you!!
