so the lyrics make perfect sense for kromer as a character, but the more i listen to it the more i read it as her more or less dictating to us the process of her distortion(?), which I find incredibly neat. i dunno, maybe im too deep in the lore hole. happens to the best of us.

wasn't the lyrics about sinclair og source book? It's about him differentiating two world of darkness and light that is other places and his home, and in which he get corrupted by the evil of the world that drags him off his comfort place. his book is actually one of the deepest of all the sinners in my opinion.
