15:10 that's what the intervalos are for. A lot more slice of life based and just the sinners having some silly times. While they do build characters and set up for the future, a good deal of intervalos have plenty of simple fun for our gang to make them feel more like people in my opinion.

While it achieves the feeling of slice of life, it's still is dangerous for the sinners. I'm more thinking of sitting and having tea, or anything that doesn't risk death. More Dante's notes (but without the risk Heathcliff getting lost forever). It's more a question on how civilians of a nest go through their day to day, or how someone in the Backstreets can survive to be an adult without much combat capabilities.

@@Lelfro thats addressed in stuff like leviathan and the stories you get from the books in ruina, like theres schools run by the seven association because they want kids to survive and eventually work for them or the corpo migration towns where people that apply for nest migration get their shitty backstreet behavior "fixed", so you can infer that most businesses/communities have something to avoid total child organ harvesting, but I agree having something a bit more concrete would be nice.

@@Lelfro The trade off for Project Moon exploring different parts of it's world via different medias IS the fact that the different medias will naturally explore different parts of the world. Limbus' part is mainly exploring the sinner's past and in turn, the things that are relevant to it. Though I do agree that having some nice chill episodes like the mini-stories present in Ruina could be nice as well.

It's not so much that the population is sustainable but more that there's just so many people that seeing individuals die in literal street wars day to day is commonplace. Think a place like New York but it's the size of the ENTIRE state, that kind of density.

The big problem is elsewhere is worse. Also the aforementioned population plummet is caused by a Wing imploding, which happens occasionally. The City appears to have a population rivalling the entire population of IRL Earth, so even with hundreds of thousands of people dying on the regular it… sort of keeps moving on. Also Nest life is mooostly normal, it's mostly backstreets that are horrid. Also some people buy things like… "full body replacement coverage" which allows you to be transplanted to a new body as long as part of you still lives. It's prohibitively expensive for most people although probably less expensive than KCorp Ampules. Plus there are a bunch of other factors we have problems accounting for, notably temporal manipulation tech and such possibly causing the amount of time it takes some segments of the population to age up not being in line with what you'd normally expect. (I'm looking at you TCorp) It's noted in LoR that a million people dying in the backstreets is whatever, no one in power cares, but 90 thousand dying in a nest is considered a big deal and gets really big names on the case.

great review! it's nice to see a review of a project moon game that doesn't get overly critical over miniscule details, but also not praising like it's completely perfect(even though I do think that it's a genine 9/10 that slowly creeps up to 10 with each new release). Some points in the critique section confuse me, though. Is it bad that the emotional weight of a character death varies? especially when the setting has already established that it's a tangible threat for any given person(with the existence of Shi association and whatnot)

Well, to be fair, they're named Dante's notes for a reason, they're nothing more than a subjective view of a given situation through the mind of a character. it's actually pretty consistent in every game, where the information given to you is mostly true, but sometimes just may not align with what's actually happening, because it's still *someone* explaining things to you, not an omniscient narrator. even though Dante plays a role of the manager, it's said from the start that they're noone in reality(and vital information has been obscured from them countless times. for a reason... that is too lengthy to explain in a KZbin comment). it's a bumpy ride but I think it's the original intention
