UPDATE!!! Since making this video I have emailed Lime Crime. Showed them my results & basically said I wasn't happy with how the colours turned out. They firstly apologised, offered me a full refund and a free Velvetine or Diamnod Crusher of my Choice! Love their customer service!

I purchase my products under a different email account that isnt related to my KZbin. I emailed them as a customer not a KZbinr. So how would they have known that I'm a KZbinr?! Already plenty of people have received refunds (and they arent all youtubers). Please don't be so quick to judge. Their customer service is fantastic!

Jade Madden customer service was completely different for me, first they canceled my first purchase of the dyes because they said they didn't think it was my card and when I emailed them saying and asked if they could confirm my purchase again they said no because they already canceled it and suggested I get a PayPal instead of a credit card, I then purchased the dyes and a unicorn lipstick again and when I finally got my package I opened it to find out that I didn't receive my lipstick I ordered so I emailed them again and they apologised and said they would send me the lipstick again. This is literally the only company online that has ever denied my card because they didn't think it was mine. I also purchased 5 colors and two were chocolate cherry and dirty mermaid and they DID NOT look like they did on the website, chocolate cherry was a hot pink, not a dark purple/burgundy and dirty mermaid did not look like a dark aqua/seafoam green at all, it looked like a mix of gargoyle​ and blue smoke and it looked darker too, I even put it on my boyfriend's roots of his hair (which was almost a white color) to make it look darker at the roots while putting anime at the ends and it started turning a weird light green grey color which did not look good at the end and I ended up dying his whole head with anime

Hey Hun- sorry to say, but to me it sounds like reasonable service. Yes your card not being accepted sucks- but they are trying to look out for their business and for you! After their website hack I suppose they are being extra careful. Not saying there was anything dodgy with your card.....but I can't blame them for being safe. It's sucks they missed your lipstick, that shouldn't of happened- but you emailed them, they apologised and replaced it. Yes the colours weren't what you expected (just like with me)....but have you emailed them? Have you shown them photos of your results? Have you asked for a refund or told them your not happy? I'm just saying they aren't mind readers hun- if your unhappy, get a refund- just like I did. All the best xxxxx

Jade Madden very true, I was just really surprised when they emailed me and I get frustrated really easily which was part of my problem😂I'm sorry if I sounded rude I really didn't mean to at all and I didn't email them yet about not liking some of the colors because I'm going to give some to my aunt to try out and see if she likes them first so she can keep them before I email them because of I'm not using them then I want to find someone who does so they won't go to waste💗

I have an idea for why the Pony color turned your hair bright red..well, this is what they taught me in beauty school anyway. So, your hair was basically orange before applying the dye. What neutralizes orange? Blue. So, the color Pony (being purple) is made up of red and blue. The blue in the dye neutralized your orange hair and then the red was left. Just an idea :) pretty cool how color theory works! It really takes some breaking down.

If you want a real nice cool purple try arctic fox dye in purple rain. It's my favorite! My hair was a little lighter than yours and yes it was orange when I put the purple rain on it and it came out AMAZING. Definitely my favorite

+Jade Madden i put Arctic fox Orange hairdye over my GREEN hair (a bit faded but still very green!) and it went orange. Arctic fox hairdyes are SUPER pigmented and nice!

I agree my daughter used arctic fox shocking pink? I can't recall the name atm. Nonetheless on bleached hair her hair turned bright deep pink almost violet pink? I wish we could post pics in comments! and lasted 2 months with no fade. She was very careful washing tho, cold water no sulfate shampoo 1 time a week in between cold water rinse with a bit of conditioner on the roots/ends. She's fading it on purpose now to go ombré. They also smell very nice in my opinion. 😊

so glad I found this video of yours ! I've been debating wanting to try these out but there really are not many videos from qualified people on them, most of the time when I am doing fashion colors I wear a plastic night cap and leave it in over night that helps tremendously, but still the results for sext were terrible, let alone that I was slightly disappointed in the color ranges that they have, great very thorough review thanks so much !

i have strawberry jam on right now at first i didnt really like it but now i do and i only left on for about 30 minutes and its super bright, a lot of people compliment my hair too !! it did say it was pink/red and thats exactly what it is.

Try Artic Fox....I absolutely Love it!! I mix it with a deep conditioner...comb it through really well put a shower cap on and sleep in it!! My hair is extremely soft and conditioned and super saturated with color...almost black!! A couple washes with hot water and my color is amazing!! Lasts a couple months!! 😍😍😍🦄🦄🦄🌈🌈🌈

I didn't artic fox to be honest. I used their Poseidon and a lot of the blue faded really fast and it was only after two washes

I really like arctic fox's colors but for some reason it keeps fading quickly and so I have to re-dye my hair often. Is there anything you recommend to have the color stay as long as possible? Like any specific brands of shampoos or any tips I could use?

I love Arctic Fox but i have also heard really good things about Manic Panic colors as well! I have only used Manic Panic's lighter for my hair at the ends and it has worked well.

I had this issue with La Riche hair dyes. The dye looked wishy washy on application and basically just sat on the hair. Manic Panic and Arctic Fox are my ultimate fave brands xxx

What WOULD you recommend and have you tried One n Only? I want something that won't wash out right away because I can't NOT wash my hair (short and very fine). I like the Chocolate Cherry color but I also had to apply it twice.

I do love La Riche Directions and Manic Panic! But they do fade the more you wash your hair, so if you are a daily hair washer expect these types of colours to fade quicker =( x

If you are looking for a seriously vibrant full coverage color, try goldwell elumen, it says semi permanent, but it is definitely permanent, especially if applied using a processing cap and heat

I can say that their one color sea witch came out very pretty on my hair. I bleached it to a blonde, but more a blonde with some brown patches, and it actually came out really nice. I only used one bottle too. But, I can also tell you that dirty mermaid should just be a tiny color and not a full head cover. It came out a very faded blue, so I wasn't too happy with it. Next time, if you really want a good color, try like crime sea witch. Very pretty dark teal dye.

Hey hun, i had lightened a fair bit of my roots already- not 100% as i wanted it to be a fade with my natural regrowth. The gargoryle colour looked super dark like a 5-6 level and my natural root colour is a 7-8 level so i thought it would be fine to cover- but as you saw even on white blonde hair the results were still super wishy washy and dull =( I know! (it was actually a La Riche Directions Blue....i said the wrong brand lol) But i was so impressed! xx

I used lime crime sea witch and got a beautiful teal color. I thought it smells like coconuts which I didn’t mind. You need to be a medium brown for the dark hair dyes to work.

yes omg its so patchy. i stumbled on ur review after i bought the lime crime pony. my roots are kind of a medium brown but the color doesnt even take at all. not even a slight magenta. its darn annoying. re doing my roots with the darker shade blue smoke that i bought impulsively too. crossed fingers hope it works

I don't think anything would make me switch from my Manic Panic. Some of the colours are really pretty like Gargoyle and Sext but at $16 US plus shipping comes out to like $30 Canadian for one jar and Manic Panic I get two for $25 and I can make one jar last me 6 months also it's sold in stores all over the city so I can get it when ever I want.

Don't you have one of those American address PO Box things? A lot of over seas people have them to get American products that don't ship over seas or shipping is outrageous. I have one even living in Canada shipping can be insane I tried to buy some makeup from Merhon shipping to the States $4 shipping to Canada $76 for a $15 foundation.

Sext is a tint that is best used on a level 9 or 10 .... The tints aren't going to work on dark blonde or orange hair. Try a full coverage color next time!

You had dark orange hair which is a warm, picked a light warm purple and added warm fuchsia on what appeared a very porous base...

Yes I did- I even stated that I knew I didn't have to correct base- but showed how other brands had worked in the past & also mentioned that I wasn't going to judge the coloius based of my own hair. It was when I applied them over white blonde hair extensions & still got a bad result that I came to my conclusion. Have a great day.

i’m surprised pony turned red, usually with any purples i’ve used over top orangey/blonde hair it’s came out, then again I usually leave my color in for hours so that helps so if you don’t already I recommend you leave the color in for hours if not over night

I prefer LaRiche over Pravana. Ive used the Pravana Vivids in my Red Phoenix Hair tutorial ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/aYC6hYZsYqmNaqc ) & while they were nice, i still feel i got better results with LaRiche or even Manic Panic.

Have you tried the loreal hi color dye ? It's for dark hair.. they have an ash blonde.. when I had dark hair I used that instead of bleach and it worked amazing... then I put my bright colors. Hope this helps

How disappointing that they're not as good that you'd hoped 🙁 When I checked out the colour range on the website, the swatch photos that they use look like they're photoshopped to show a colour similar to what's in the jar rather than what it looks like once in your hair. Shame really, cos I was thinking about possibly trying one as a tint to make my brown hair look a little bit different.

I would never purchase these colors now, thank you for doing a true review and not a sponsored "it came out amazing, I swear" video. I don't know why you wouldn't use professional brands as a hair stylist, but that given, I would highly recommend Arctic Fox! They're hair color line is absolutely amazing! They are the only brand other than professional lines that I find to be of high quality and true results. (Haven't tried Manic Panic so I can't judge💁🏼). Honestly I've had a bad taste about Lime Crime and stopped ordering their products since the whole server scandal, I was curious when I heard they were coming out with hair colors, but the disappointing look of the extension swatches doesn't really surprise me...

When you bleach your hair when you washed try a purple shampoo beacuse you a have a orange sub pigmentacion and these "conceal" the orange

Ok I think you critiqued a bit too hard especially when you claimed that you only went through one stroke of color. like I wouldn’t expect such a high quality results after one stroke. So yea it’ll come out patchy and the colors may not come exactly like the website does. You are supposed to add more strokes so the colors can come out bold. 🤷🏾‍♀️ Plus it’s semi permanent. I think you were a bit unrealistic w/ what you were probably expecting. I’ve used like crime and the colors are bold and nice! so I cnt complain. Plus I’ve seen other reviews wear ppl have actually done full on application and looked great! I think the colors look pretty good for one stroke compared to other hair dyes. Overall good review tho.😉

Hey hun, I did a full application and saturated the hair extremely well. Compared to other brands I’ve used this was the worst colour I’ve come across. But it’s just my profession opinion after using this. Thanks for watching 💕

I wonder if you would have gotten less patchy results if you used a protein filler on your extensions beforehand. I thought they looked much nicer on your hair than they did on the extensions.

I just realized that other people may take that comment as a critique of you or the quality of your extensions and it's totally not meant to be! I know that the formulation is really hit or miss but I'm so curious as to what's causing people to get such different results, I swear I missed my calling as a hair stylist.

It shows you what the colors will turn out as on different shades of hair. You mixed colors. And had a dark base. IMO. This wasn’t a very fair test. I used this on blonde hair and it was vibrant purple and absolutely beautiful. I’ve used many of their colors, cloud, neon peach, bubblegum rose, pony, genie, and I’m using anime and bunny this evening. I’ve loved them all. Maybe it was the before shade and mixing a pink/red with a pinkish purple on it that did that. I’m sorry your experience was bad. But anyone else wanting to try should, it does show if your hair isn’t light it will be a different color.

I feel that there´s too much conditioner mixed with the dye already, thats why the package and the ammount of product is more than other brands. I say this cause on other videos of girls applying lime crime hair dyes, and on this one too , the "white" foam appears right away as if the girls had mixed the dye with conditioner.

Lunar tides is awesome! The only color I didn't like was their blood moon color. Was supposed to be a deep red, but it came out more orange red on my hair. Too bright for me lol

So something strange I noticed the longer you leave the lime crime colors the darker they are

These brighter colors won’t show for dark hair or even a dark blonde. You have to go lighter. Leave it in for 30 mins to an hour. Big difference. I’ve never been disappointed and all colors turned out fine to me. If you’re not a hair coloring expert then yes it’ll be a struggle to master.

Finally someone makes an honest review of this product! Ive seen so many videos of people trying this out and loving it despite their own end result being patchy and not-true-to-color. I have no idea how they were content with such a poor result but whatever. Instead of using this, try Artic Fox. I love the yummy smell it has and how full coverage/highly pigmented it is.

I definitely did watch the whole video. and I have gone from black to white blonde and every color except banana yellow, so I know how bleaching goes, but like why would you even try to put the color on until you were able to bleach again in a few weeks unless you wanted a bright neon orange color to put over that coppery orange bleach color

Hun clearly you didn't watch the video. I stated that I was pressed for time, I showed how other brands had worked over previous copper tones. I also stated that I didn't want to judge the colour based off what happened in my own hair- hence why I tried it on my white blonde hair extensions and still got a bad result. So if the colour didn't work on white blonde hair (the shade they are designed to be applied on- of course I'm not going to be happy with the results). Also it's impossible to get from black (fully loaded pigment hair) to white blonde (zero pigment hair) without ever passing the "yellow" stage. All hair going from black to blonde needs to go through the underlying pigments first which is Red, Orange and yellow before white blonde is possible. As I said Hun hope you have a great day! Xxxxx
