This film should be titled: "A Long Drawn-Out Under-Edited Near-Liminal Early Weekday Morning Ambient Tour Of The City Foundry Food Hall In St. Louis Missouri" -but that would be too long and no one would click on it.

Dozenspeed is an independent film maker from St. Louis Missouri, and founding curator for the Dozenspeed Film Foundation, a modest archive of original historical video footage.
This video was funded and produced and is copyright exclusively by the Dozenspeed Film Foundation, unless otherwise specified.
The Dozenspeed Film Foundation is very grateful to artists who allow use of their music in our videos.
I think of myself as a Sentimental Video Artist, something I've never heard of but that I feel best expresses my motivation and purpose behind my video creations. The goal is to contribute to the documentation of history in some small way, while evoking emotion, memories and nostalgia for fellow humans, well enough to make a living.
The videos on this channel are for art and entertainment purposes only, no warranty is either expressed or implied. The choice of an existential tour guide is an important decision and should not be made solely on the basis of videos on this channel.
If you own or can otherwise authorize access to something you think I might like to curate footage of, document or promote, or for sponsorship and donation inquiries you can reach out to me at:

If you have a local business (with a physical location) in the St. Louis region and would like a commercial spot created for this channel at no cost to you for the sake of posterity and whimsy, please contact.
The Dozenspeed Film Foundation is also interested in supporting local musicians willing to allow usage of their work suitable to our content (primarily instrumental) for publicity under license.
Dozenspeed currently isn't on any other platforms, with no other channels. Everything is kept here for simplicity and productivity. (I have an unused Twitter for emergency fail safe purposes only)

Thanks for this. I helped me understand how it is laid out and situated in relation to other things. It is a visually interesting development.

Is it sustainable? Are SLU students enough to keep the place open? As a SLU student, I'll admit the campus was a restaurant desert when I went there. It slowly improved along Vandeventer after I left, turning some of the vacant buildings into affordable food joints. This is a big win...so long as it can stay open.

Had no idea that place was even open! Or is it? Thanks for capturing this footage. It seems like its in the right place as far as probably what is considered the "safe" part of the city (by Ikea and Cortex) and as long as there's plenty of parking, what can go wrong? This reminds me of when I visited two similar places in Oklahoma this year. One was the Mother Road Market in Tulsa, which had a great variety of independent food truck-like places inside as well as the Edmond Railyard. Both were largely renovated old places that were put to good use. Hope that's what happens here.

Its really annoying that St. Louis seems to never get anything right.. This place looks so depressing and closed in. Why not choose lighter colors and have it be a big open court with all the vendors along the walls. Nope instead lets make it an idustrial drab maze where you get lost and feel secluded. Another massive disappointment in my opinion

Interesting critique and viewpoint. It's not to everyone's taste I suppose, I rather like it, along with the building's history of usage, abandonment, and now "artistic" repurposing. But I can see how some could find it unappealing. At least it's one less thing we can say "somebody should do something with this" about. :)
