Limit Break Gorgeous Moon Is Anything But Gorgeous in Vampire Survivors

Note: I am not happy with this video but it's almost 3:13 AM right now and another 35 minutes till upload is finished, and I gotta go to my workplace today (as in, no home office) so I can't do a different video or cut it down more. As the recording took over 6 hours it was hard to cut it down properly and after the first cut (what you see right now) I decided to keep it as it is and view it as "either this will be uploaded or nothing, because I can't do another recording/edit it down to usual length". Despite what it may look like, many of the limit break videos recently take a ton of attempts and I skip a lot of the fails/development as long as the story telling of how I get there is still fitting, but that means the process takes quite some time (usually recording is 2-8 hours and editing is then around 4-6 hours, highly depending on how much I actually talked and how much I can cut out as empty space). My day was pretty much "Record/Edit Neophyte, Record/Edit/Upload Update video, Record/Edit/Upload Gorgeous Moon video" and now it's too late to change anything anymore, so I am sorry if the result is lacking quality, fun or something you would usually expect.

Even the "broken" version of moon on live is better than what it was changed to. It's not only a downgrade to moon as a solo weapon limit break, but with moon no longer capable of doing multiple blasts at once, it's a downgrade to moon limit break with multiple weapons as well since you no longer get even the occasional multi-blasts.

Moon is so hard to solo limit break that I was so happy to see it got ridiculous when limit broken. I was expecting the fix to just make the jankiness go away but keep the insanity of the weapon. Nope. Big sad.

For the record, Heart of Fire is AOE and benefits from Candelabrador I believe as well. Before other Arcana got added, I did manage a Divano Laurel-only win, even killing the Guardians with Heart of Fire AOE against other enemies. It had terrible damage, and was a slow painful experience. But it does also destroy stage objects just fine, and the objects do explode also thanks to Heart of Fire's overlooked effect of making them explode as well. Semi-related, Capella Magna is another consideration for these since it has evo chests from the start. With the Crown and Tiragisu on the stage as well, I quite enjoy using Capella for fun runs. If played well, I'm not sure how it stacks up to other stages in terms of Exp etc.

I was looking at your last video and noticed you only did 94million with Crimson Shroud. I said "That can't be right" and set out to top it. I went with [Divine Bloodline] at 0 [Wicked Season] at 11min, and finally [Silent Old Sanctuary] at 21min (that ten minutes without invulnerability was terrifying). I did 935.2 million with (Eggless) Divano. (Divine Bloodline carrying my early game had 5.4million) (Also, the last time I noticed my max health was over 8k at 15min.) Now here's where it gets interesting! My planned build was Heart, Box, Armor, Crown, Spinach, and Skull. I had taken Tiragisu to stay alive in the early game. When I was ready to burn off Tiragisu to make room for Skull, I had actually stabilized to the point that it was becoming hard to die on purpose. When I was almost there, a boss died on top of me, dropping a Pentachest I was forced to immediately pick up. As I was exactly 5 levels away from finishing my build... It leveled Tiragisu. At that point i was pretty flustered, and accidentally bumped into the Right Mag, which I had to take. Real error cascade. The missing 50% curse was constantly felt for thr remainder of the run. After that, I consistently felt like there weren't enough enemies surrounding me and I had to walk to them. *tl;dr* you could do way better than both yours and my previous Crimson Shroud limit break record! (Now time to watch your video lmao)

First, I think it's great you went along and tested it, but in regards to the numbers: The Shroud video was uploaded on the 22nd of July, where neither Wicked Season nor Bloodline existed, meaning I went for Heart of Fire and Silent Old Sanctuary. In fact that's a problem for a lot of these weapons and surprisingly also including Phieraggi, where the 700M is really impressive without Wicked Season.

My friend this by far was not the worst video you've ever made. I personally would definitely rank in your top 5 for the channel. You may have been disappointed at the end by "Moon" but holy hell was this an attention grabbing video that managed to highlight just how highly skilled you are. This is by far one of my favorite videos you've ever made so thank you for the time and effort this must have taken. From editing in the cuts to the commentary, the humor and the musical score it demonstrates just how much care you put into your craft and the creation of these videos. 14:20 It took 32 seconds for level 5 Pentagram to trigger again. At a base cooldown of 70 second at level 5, the cooldown has been reduced by 54%. Coincidentally, you have exactly 54% CDR without the arcana...

Also, the Arcana didn't apply even to Gorgeous Moon. It triggers every 18 seconds instead of every 15, which is equivalent to 70% CDR. Christine has 25% base CDR, the powerup is 5% and Empty Tome another 40%....

Dude. Props for giving this run so much effort. I've tried but gave up. I wish the fix limited moon but in like a normal weapon way with amount. For example, you can only have like 5 moons running at the same time and they get even spaced out depending on how many you have going currently. That way the weapon is more dependable and predictable, doesn't break, etc

the problem with silent old sancuary is that for some reason pentagram doesnt work with it but if it worked you would have only 27 seconds for each blast at lvl 1 pentagram

If I had to take a guess from a coding stand point, I think what they did is they set the weapon to give you X amount of XP on weapon trigger. So normally the pentagram pops, hits the whole room, and gives you all the enemies plus X. When they made the limit break for pentagram they forgot to remove the additional XP from the individual strikes so the individual strikes give you one enemy plus X essentially making it better than the full wipe because you're getting the full bonus more often.

Christine was much easier to level in the Library, thanks to the blue (free level) gem. But I like that Gorgeous Moon produces extra gems on any weapons and has an in-built vacuum (xp only) when it finally triggers, so kind of nice for auto-farming

Wow, you got really unlucky with that one, terribly unlucky. The only arcana that you didn't have was one that would make your task trivial since blood astronomia (XXI) gives you a garlic-like area of damage when you have gorgeous moon. It was interesting anyway though, the video was still good enough for hook me into your channel and I'm sure a lot of other people too.

Going for retaliatory damage or game ender is frustrating to me. You basically have to take one because limit broken moon sucks. But then you're basically just running a 0 weapon build with just arcanas. I sort of wonder if a limit break pentagram(not moon) would be better with game ender. That way you can control how many gems you pick up and when. But then I think there is always a chance that your gems get destroyed. very lame. I think the retaliatory damage should break the map containers. I think that at least pentagram should break containers(maybe only when it wipes??? that would be an interesting consolation prize).

yay its fixed? :D still kinda easy on library if you aim for armour and pumrola first with divine bloodline, you can farm up a decent amount of HP in the first 10 minutes to let you get past most things. With moon fixed silent sanctuary stops being useful at that point anyway and it lets you go max curse :) Edit: Never mind, they fixed it in the most boring way possible :( yeah only plinks give bonus but why they have to go boring for it T_T at the end is the current bugged behaviour, where it ends up not triggering at all on level up which can let you get a lot of levels and then not have any moon at all going until normal fire rate.

The problem is the earlier you get it the less bonus xp you get, and you can pick up game killer as it breaks but it honestly doesn't change anything but prevent level ups

I was always curious about what moon was doing, because I felt it's attract wasn't pulling in all the gems on the level or something ( I never played a don't move with it), it just turns out it sucks when it pops off. Kinda terrible for a weapon who's companion is growth.

@@remitavernier227 My point is the that it being paired with growth and the fact that it kills the screen and vacuums the gems right after, should make it the best for leveling. That's like giving someone a missile launcher, but then it can only shoot pea sized bullets. Yeah it's a big weapon, but has very little beneficial impact to the player.

I don't think I said that Max HP gives revives, but the other way around, revives give Max HP with Awake (10%). And Attractorb was picked up for the case I would go for Game Killer. That way I can pick them up even when further away while the individual blasts happen to shoot them out. Only the final blast pulls all in, not the individual strikes
