The recent predicament faced by the state disability commissioner at an govt. event only shows the lack of awareness and care by the officials. The govt. I'm sure is trying but its just not trying enough.

Very good reporting thank you. I'd like request to our brothers and sisters to behave nice to the tourists. I've heard some people have offended the tourists which is not a good takeaway from us (nagas). Most of our nagas have not exposure to outside world or lesser knowledge about multiple culturalism. I being living in abroad and what I can observe from our society is that we are more typical comfortable and naively compacted in our own tiny world. No offense, if you go through my comment. Love respect makes better society 😊

A designated autorickshaw service to transport people from the entrance gate to the main ground would make the Hornbill Festival more accessible for seniors, including those with disabilities, families with young children, & visitors with large shopping bags. Collaboration with local registered auto drivers to ensure responsibility & community support through a system of organised traffic control & dedicated auto parking for drop-off & pick-up zones without overcharging the visitors may further establish itself as an inviting & enjoyable destination for visitors.

We can see that these visitors are well educated with avid observation skills in that they opine that improvement in accessibility to senior citizens and physically different abled people should be taken up for the next Hornbill Festivals.
