After watching both Pearl's and Cleo's episodes, I love how it's clear that Cleo gave Gem a FULL rundown of the situation, stressing that Scar was her favorite son and that Etho was the absent father who should remain so, and hammer that in for the gag at every opportunity. Meanwhile, it seems Pearl just threw Lizzie into it with a "lol good luck!" (either because Pearl didn't explain or the equally likely possibility that Lizzie didn't pay attention). "Secret" subs was such a good solution here, and the fact the entire server played along made an entertaining little side dish to complement the murder main course! Shame on Joel for breaking Kayfabe! XD

I don't think so. I think Cleo said she's got 2 sons & Scar was her favourite. And kill Etho if she's got a chance. The rest Gem played. Dysfunctional families in the comedies usually have similar patterns. It's not hard to follow it.

I watched a clip from one of Gem's streams, apparently Lizzie had some time due to Pearl knowing about the trip in advance while Cleo's computer had problems hours before the session, and asked Gem on really short notice (maybe 5 hours before) so Gem knew NOTHING about the series other than a very few rules and that Scar was the favourite son, and if she could kill Etho, to kill Etho XD

that actually sounds super cool, and possessions would definitely have different value. if the swapping was scheduled, people might set up traps for their old selves, and it could create super fun dynamics. also introducing 1 or 2 new people at random points in the season would be really fun too, it sounds like it has a lot of potential!

Pearl steels Scott and Martyn's enchanter, who takes it back. LizzyMoon takes another from the Bad Boys who took it from the TIES and then gives it back to the Bad Boys. Somewhere along the line the TIES steels one from the Bad Boys. I think all is balanced out now.

@@historical.heroine it happened the first time in last life,,, halfway through the session pearl's power went out and she was the boogie (they had to reroll) but before her power went out she managed to set up chest tnt traps all around the server and one of the others (it was bdubs or bigb i cant remember which) triggered it and died after pearl left so it cured her boogey curse as she was offline

I was worried this episode wouldn't stand up to the others, but it absolutely did. The fall trap still not working, the accidental betrayal of allies, the Grian trap not working as intended but still panning out. absolutely great episode

There's so much to talk about here. First just... the Style of Pearl's edited commentary making her like the voice of malice in Lizzie-filling-in-for-Pearl's head, as though she herself was the voice of boogieman possessing her. Then I love the strange journeys of the stolen enchanters this session. A perfect comedy of errors amidst all the chaos of the session where everything somehow ends up neat and sorted in the end. And last of course there's just how Lizzie's comedic timing with the boogie kill on Grian was impeccable. _Especially_ with the prior events showing a through line of everything coming together. First Lizzie loses an hour to Grian pushing buttons randomly. Then the reveal that It was Grian who did it, combined with explicit discussion that this is how you would kill a Grian, and finally the trap itself, in all its hilarity, with Lizzie gaining back Pearl's lost hour.

People have been having fun tearing Etho down but it’s gotten old.
