Mate, you jave no IDEA how much I appreciate you right now. My husband has been keeping his paints on a dodgy sofa tray and using my coffee mugs for his water for so long, which I didn't mind, but I felt so sorry for him not having a decent set up. Just gone to Amazon and ordered everything you were talking about. Even the metal pencil case which means he'll have a mixing pallett to use too. That's Christmas sorted!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am going to feel so much more comfortable watching him work knowing he has a more decent set up with somewhere to keep everything thats easy to use and easy to access.

I made my own wood suitcase table. It has a work mat inlayed in the "top". The legs fold up into the bottom in two storage compartments. Instead of the top flipping up it has two pull out drawers. One holds my paints, brushes and a small homemade wetpalate, the other holds my flock, assorted tufts of grass, grouting powder, superglue and white glue. I'm looking at making a second one that has a compartment on the bottom to hold a mini LED strip lite that I can connect to the top on a swivel arm. But I have been using the one I currently have for the last 15 years and it has held up extremely well for being made of junk wood I got from an old work site I worked at.

Great video Luke, living in a flat I need thinking about storage of all my hobby stuff. I have used the Poundland Tommy Walsh Tool Organizers for minis, small resin pieces and bitz. As I play skirmish games, I like to have each team stored separately. I have even considered The Works wooden boxes, just need a foam insert for minis. And then can paint up and decorate the outside for each team and game. And a Wilko 4 drawer storage unit for all my hobby tools, green stuff, epoxies, terrain materials, and minis for other projects. I really like the essential oil suggestion for paint storage and the collapsing cup. Though I do need to sort out where to store my foam, cardboard, and other materials etc.. And have been looking at folding camping tables, for use as gaming tables and for terrain crafting. Have you tried Bartoline Clean Spirit? As I am looking for an odorless, non toxic and non-flammable cleaning solution for my paint brushes. For use with acrylic and paint tester pot paints.

Reaper paints come in nice small very hardy carry cases I have a mix of Reaper Army painter and Vallejo paints ( I have the big sets of the latter) sometimes if I'm working on a particular project and I know what paints and inks I'm going to use it will just pop them all in the cases and take em with me of painting away from home, These are useful when my son and I are painting at the kitchen table as we might be doing completely separate projects so we have a case each. I think I bought the paint sets for around £25 but the cases have proved to be worth more than their weight in gold I thoroughly recommend them. For a light you can get a work mans headband light to wear around you head that saves on space too ( you can also pretend to be a cyberman) you can get these quite cheap on ebay. My cups are old playdoe containers from a set my son had when he was little ( I even have all the cutters and shapers which work great with DAS or miliput) I never throw stuff away that I think I can find a use for. for example I'm just coming to the end of a tub Luke's arid earth mix (I already bought a back up) I will keep the tub and when I start buying the new bags I'll just put the contents in the tub. luckily I bought the entire range.

GW paints will fit in those types of cases but after a few in the same row it begins to rip and tear the foam as the stretching adds up. Not a great idea if you have a lot of those style pots. If its just a few it works, but trying to fill a case with half of those will just ruin the case/foam.

I think that table is a good idea for small spaces. I HAVE seen Mobility Tables for free, although they are a little smaller, they would work well too I believe. Also, lamps can be found for free too, you just have to be patient sometimes while looking for them, they WILL pop up. I have also found that some dedicated Artists Shops do have Cloth Brush Rolls that would further protect your Brushes and they are not that expensive at all. Alternatively, if you know a Seamstress, or have a family member that sews, get them to make one for your Brushes, it would also be good to have one made to store your modelling tools as well. Cheers for the video bud :-)
