When I was a kid, we used to take a metal detector on holiday, on one occasion on Great Yarmouth beach I found something quite large and started digging by hand. I unearthed a tin foil package which I tore open, only to discover a big back of human shit and bog roll.

Not only do they shape our lives but they keep us going through the hard times. Like a flame in the dark they lead us home. In this instance instead of a flame it’s feces and toilet paper in aluminum foil. At the end of the day it’s the same thing. I think Bette middler’s “Wind Beneath My Wings” song would be appropriate right now.
