Yeah, you’re right, but only if not hitting a single note of that vocal properly means you nailed it. Refer back to any live Billie Joe performance if you need to see that actually nailed.

@@DavidDantePhoenix it's obviously that Fred never had the best voice in the world. Still if you listen to ballads like Drown or Build a Bridge you can hear that he makes an effort and that's valid. On the other hand he's been screaming all these years, he must have his voice almost destroyed at this point, plus his age. The guy it's just havng fun, i'm pretty sure it's not even in his mind to do a properly performance, but for me they did it. There is a lot of bands that replaces clean vocals with growls on covers and still nobody loses is head. i.e Losing my Religion by Graveworm.
