Fun Fact: This is one of the last LIVE performances of Limp Bizkit-before Wes Borland decided to become a bitch & leave the band; aptly because he "wouldn't sell out for money anymore." Lol.
@h0nza_4 жыл бұрын
What do you think the real reason was?
@DownfallDarkness4 жыл бұрын
@@h0nza_ Lol, definitely ego. Look. I love all of Wes Borland's great contributions he made for Limp Bizkit-but it's a well known fact that the dude was always an egomaniac & most-likely envious of Fred Durst's huge success into mainstream superstardom-while Wes was always looming somewhere in the back, behind Durst's shadow. I would say that Wes Borland; from the beginning, only wanted to use Limp Bizkit as a means to leverage his own career (and how well did that work out? Not good at all...) Wes Borland, to me-never really fit in with the rest of these guys; and even he knew it. It's no surprise why Wes left the band at the time that he did (When LB were at their peak of success.) because he really thought he could shine on his own in the music business. Years before Wes Borland even left Limp Bizkit in the fall of 2001. In a 1999 SPIN profile of Limp Bizkit, Wes Borland was asked "Where will you be ten years from now?", Borland responded, "Probably not in the band." books.google.ca/books?id=nQRXCTo-FtUC&q=probably+not+in+the+band&redir_esc=y#v=snippet&q=probably%20not%20in%20the%20band&f=false So, the writing was already on the wall. Essentially; we can blame Wes Borland's ego for the demise of Limp Bizkit overall. It's sad, but these things happen. If I was in Fred Durst's shoes-I personally would've made a public statement and kicked Wes Borland out of Limp Bizkit in 1999, immediately after getting the scoop of what he would've said on that SPIN profile. This would've left an open position for Limp Bizkit early on; & MANY talented guitarists (including Logan Mader, who would've just left Soulfly in January of 1999) vying for the vacant position of Limp Bizkit guitarist left behind by Wes Borland.

@UCBY80o19rSdZkxFdyZBZ5UA Oh, thanks so much for... All this :) I think that Bizkit would be much longer on the top if Wes didn't leave. I've seen couple interviews with him and he may be a great riff maker and guitarist, but not a person I'd be a friend with.
@DownfallDarkness4 жыл бұрын
@@h0nza_ You're right. Limp Bizkit would've been much better if Wes Borland didn't leave the band, but the guy was toxic from the beginning... If I was Fred, I really would've made a bigger deal out of Wes' comments on SPIN magazine and just kicked him out of Limp Bizkit in 1999-instead of giving him the privilege to leave on his own terms. F that. I definitely would have picked up Logan Mader (formerly of Machine Head and Soulfly-whose just as good, if not a better guitarist than Wes Borland) as the new Limp Bizkit guitarist. Logan Mader is top class; he would've fit in to Limp Bizkit, much better than Wes Borland! And IF Logan were to leave Limp Bizkit some years later; MAYBE then Wes Borland could be allowed to rejoin the band, once he's had the time to really mature his act & actually function like an adult-not like some envy-ridden egomaniac.

Jan 19, 1104pm 📍 So Wes leave in October and was playing live on November 2001? Maybe it has to do with a record deal or this is the wrong date. Man, i think Bizkit it's one of the best live bands, so unique and this performance sounds like in the single video. So on point.

This was recorded way before November 2001. Probably around May-June 2001 when they were touring the UK and Europe. I believe November 2001 was the date it it aired on TV.
