If you are curious about the reference "heart in a blender". Nookie came out in 1999. Look up the lyrics to the Eve 6 song "Inside Out" which came out the year before in 1998 and was all over the radio and MTV at the time. The 5th line of the song "Inside out" is what is being referenced in Nookie.

It’s confirmed that this is an intentional reference to the Eve 6 song, or are you simply assuming it is?
@braindedpxl9 ай бұрын
Disagree. “Heart in a blender” was a relatively common expression at the time, basically a way to describe your heart being broken. Both songs are referencing this expression…

Why do so many reactors get that lyric completely wrong? "she put my tender heart in a blender, and still I surrendered". Especially when half the reactors are rap and hiphop fans, who you would think are used to listening to mumble-jumble lyrics, mixed in with plays on words and crazy, and warped flows.

2:14 Rage is a big influence of Fred’s, so of course they have something to do with it, but as far as getting into the history of “Numetal”, Aerosmith joining forces with Run DMC and then of course The Beastie Boys first few albums, and then going into Faith No More, THEN RATM for the angrier side of it all… Mixing the two genres together dates back much farther than a lot of people tend to realize.

Nice to see you pick up on the fact that Limp Bizkit are a quality rock band. Fred aside, the *musicians* in the band are great.... Wes Borland is way more influential with his guitar work than the cool kids will ever allow themselves to admit, & John Otto's drumming alongside Sam Rivers' bass give a super solid rhythm section for Wes to riff over. Also, to this day, LB can bounce a live crowd like very few others!! ;)
