I have 5.5 Remco, 24v and a Gas Roof Pump on my rig. Gas roof pumps are just on another level. I used to be DS guy for years. Now I don’t even downstream much anymore. Gas Roof pumps are just superior in every way when compared to electric systems. My 24v started leaking, I replaced one of the pump heads and now I only use it to transfer. 5.5 Remco is still going strong 2nd season. My D30 Gas roof pump worked great for 3 seasons with 0 issues. I’m now getting D40 to replace it.

I haven’t purchased any “big” items from them. We assemble almost everything but buy parts from various vendors and everything from Nozzles to manifolds to metering valves from them have been excellent quality. Responsive on emails. Because we buy parts that don’t require much for service I can’t say anything on service but they don’t skimp on quality. New products can have issues at first. We have seen this w automobiles for 50 years so we need to be fair on judgement so quickly. Not defending anyone. Just speaking as a business owner and how I hope our customers would think as well.

I heard all the negative talk a couple years ago on both sides. Knowing there are a lot of people in this industry that still get mom to tie their shoes, I placed an order. I’ve ordered many more times and never had any issues and the products are great. I guess it’s further proof that there is no such thing as bad advertising.

This is why 24v pumps suck. You look at everything on your rig. It’s all 12 V power and can be charged with alternators either off of your truck or your pressure washers and you never have to plug anything in and everything works the same and charges the same. It’s all 12 V power. You throw a 24 V on your rig and you have to buy a different charging system. You have to plug it in and you can’t charge while you’re running and you can’t just run your whole system off of two heavy duty deep cycle Marines so then you have to find space for another battery. Remco‘s new pump is also a 24 V and as soon as they said that I know it would be a flop. It’s just not practical it doesn’t match anything else we run that’s poor planning by the manufacturers in my opinion.
