It seems hard to locate the real source of pain...is it SI joint? Sciatica? Piriformis? Hip joint? Disc problem? A combination? All I know is my recent PT aggravated the problem (twice) and I had severe flares that made me bedridden with ice packs or heating pad. I've cancelled PT and do not want pain pills or steroid shots. I want to fix the underlying cause! I tried chiropractic months ago with the early upper right buttock electric stabs, but no improvement.

Hi Dr.Jerry, I came across your video on hip pain Monday. Back in April I was digging holes with a shovel to plant azaleas and hurt my left hip. At first I thought it was the piriformis muscle but now I think it's the SI joint. It was waking me up at night so I bought an SI belt. It has helped during the day but should I wear it at night also? And should I be walking as an exercise?

I would be cautious re wearing it at night if you do make sure it is not too tight, but not necessary to wear at nite. walking is good

Good Lord, man! In your "assessment" you flexed your thumb IP joint for more penetration focus while not doing the same on the right. And you were "using MORE force" on the left side for mobility...LOL! No WONDER you have but a relative handful of subscribers after all this time. Our profession needs more solid, well-published research, not this snake oil video demo.

I suspect the Dr is a neurologist at heart anyway. Maybe the profession can withstand criticism?
