I know it's a good Backroons game when it's equal parts stunningly beautiful and really anxiety provoking!

Yes Exactly how I felt about the game, So beautiful at times but then so daunting especially the underwater moments and vast vertigo moments. Thanks for watching:)

I love your channel because you have some of the greatest footage of the Backrooms. Question where do you keep finding these games? I love the Ocean Ambient PoolRoom vibe!
@RavenhomegamerКүн бұрын
Thank you very much I really appreciate your support of my channel. Yes I am a bit obsessed with backrooms / Liminal space games, I try to check daily for new releases:) I also love the Ocean Ambient Pool room vibe, I think the pool rooms are my favourite to explore:) All the best

I absolutely love your channel, I love all about the backrooms, your channel is the best out there of this kind of content, please never stop making these videos and exploring the backrooms ;), and for all the game creators out there, never let this kind of games die, it doesn't matter if they dont have any monster/feature that makes the game challenging, its welcomed of course, but for me, just having the chance to explore and get lost in the backrooms, admiring the place, looking at some things that randomly remembers me of some distant past and that evokes nostalgia, sadness and mixed feelings, its the most unique experience out there.

Thank you very much for supporting my channel, it really means a lot, Don't worry I will never stop playing these types of games, I am obsessed with anything Backrooms / Liminal Space themed, like you said I also get totally lost in a strange, lonely, creepy, cozy nostalgia that I can't quite explain, the experience really is very unique to anything else. All the best

Please 🙏🙏🙏 post the full version when it's finally released this is the best one I have seen yet and it's just a demo I can't imagine what the rest is going to have upon it's debut when ever that maybe.. the wait is going to be hard but I think it will be worth it the water looks phenomenal even the sound effects of the water sounds phenomenal. If I ever end up in the back rooms this is where I want to be I would be happy to meet my end in that place

0:34 can remember a place with shops downstairs (grocery stores and mixed goods), small cafés, and restaurants with extremely friendly waitress. Then followed two escalators up to a level with a beige floor, probably some kind of highly polished natural stone. There were two passages, one at the end of the corridor, two elevators on the left with a lot of glass, and next to each elevator a minimalist wooden bench. Opposite the elevator was the other passage. To call the elevator, you need a key. Insert it, and it comes. To proceed further, insert the key again, the floors light up briefly, and a green light around the key lights up, then you select your floor.

Love that there is realistic sunshine, poolrooms just isn’t the same without it and James Turrell would love it!

I had to just look up James Turrell, Wow his work is amazing, very reminiscent of the pool rooms and Liminal spaces, It has a really nice vibe to it, Thanks for sharing :)

The grates underwater were terrifying. But I love the brutalist architecture, the vibe, and of course the jellyfish! Thanks for demoing this- it's definitely been added to the list!

Glad you enjoyed it! yes I also found the underwater moments very tense and creepy) Ah yes the jellyfish were great, I did love the stunning artistic beauty mixed with the vast daunting brutalist architecture:) Thanks for watching

I wish it had more than just poolrooms. I feel we have so many liminal space games that are almost exclusively pool rooms and nothing else and they all feel like the exact same game.

That one area showed the foot prints of ones path. If this could be incorporated throughout the game it might offer something to keep the player interested...no? DVD:)

Level 37 The Poolroms
@adamstrange5000Күн бұрын
THE WATER EFFECTS NEEDS SOME WORK. IN THE OTHER POOLROOMS GAMES, WATER EFFECTS LOOK MUCH MORE REALISTIC THAN IN THIS GAME, THOUGH I UNDERSTAND THIS IS A DEMO. WHEN YOU ENTER THE WATER IN THE POOLROOMS, WATER RIPPLES NATURALY AND IT DOES NOT RIPPLE TO THE END OF THE POOL UNTIL YOU REACH IT, NOR DOES IT RIPPLE THE ENTIRE POOL IF YOU JUST STEPPED IN LIKE IN THIS DEMO. IT ALSO DOES NOT RIPPLE SO FAST AND IT DOES NOT RIPPLE AS IF YOU THREW A SMALL ROCK INTO A POND WHICH IS WHAT ALL THE RIPPLE EFFECTS IN THIS DEMO LOOK LIKE. THE UNDERWATER SWIMMING IS FANTASTIC IN THIS DEMO AND IT WOULD BE COOL IF YOU CAN FIND A SCUBA AIR TANK THAT WOULD UNLOCK UNDERWATER POOLROOM SUBLEVELS. UNDERWATER AMBIENCE EFX SOUNDS REALLY GOOD. WOULD LIKE TO SEE A FEATURE TO EITHER CONTROL THE AMOUNT OF THE BLOOM EFFECT OR TO SHUT IT OFF. IF THE GAME DUMPS THE SOUNDS INTO A SEPERATE FOLDER ON YOUR PC, THATS EVEN BETTER, ALLOWING YOU TO CHANGE THE SOUNDS SUCH AS THE FOOTSTEPS AND THE PIANO PLAYING WITH YOUR OWN. I WOULD REPLACE THE SHOE FOOTSTEPS WITH MY OWN RECORDINGS OF WET BARE FEET ON TILE FLOORING OR AN OPTION THATS ALLOWS TO SELECT DIFFERENT FOOTSTEP SOUND EFFECTS, BUT THIS WOULD REQUIRE EXTRA CODING AND MUCH EASIER TO HAVE A SOUND FOLDER SO PLAYER CAN CHANGE THE SOUND WITH THEIR OWN. THE BIG ROOMS THAT HAVE MOVING WATER I WOULD CHANGE THE SOUND BECAUSE IT SOUNDS LIKE YOUR AT THE BEACH INSTEAD OF A GIANT ROOM, BUT I WOULD NOT REMOVE THIS FROM THE GAME BECAUSE THERE ARE PLAYERS THAT WOULD LIKE THIS SOUND EFFECT AND THATS WHY I WOULD LIKE THE GAME TO HAVE ITS OWN SOUND FOLDER SO PLAYER CAN CHOOSE WHAT THEY WANT THOSE ROOMS TO SOUND LIKE. AN OPTION TO CHANGE WATER COLOR WOULD BE ANOTHER NICE FEATURE. THE ULTIMATE WOULD BE A BACKROOMS POOLROOMS COMBINATION WITH UNDERWATER LEVELS AND THE OPTIONS TO HAVE CREATURES LURKING IN MOST LEVELS INCLUDING UNDERWATER MONSTERS AND A CHOICE WHERE YOU CAN TURN THEM ON OR OFF AT THE BEGINNING OF THE GAME AND A INTENSITY LEVEL ALLOWING THE PLAYER TO ENCOUNTER ONLY A FEW MONSTERS OR MANY OF THEM. MY DEEP FANTASY OF THIS GAME WOULD BE TO MERGE ALL THE ABOVE FEATUERS WITH THE CREATURE CREATOR FROM THE GAME SPORE WHERE YOU CAN CREATE YOUR OWN MONSTERS THAT WILL APPEAR IN THE GAME. I WOULD EXSPECT THIS GAME NOT TO BE FREE AND I WOULD BE WILLING TO PAY $50 IF THIS CAME WITH AN EDITOR TO CREATE YOUR OWN LEVELS TO ADD ON TO THE GAME.

I know right, at the beginning there were like 10 different laptops that represented level selectors and that was just the first one, crazy, and I'm sure I also missed a lot in that level, ha, Thanks for watching:)
@pbase36Күн бұрын
The game is beautiful, but I think it misses the mark as a liminal experience. It's the architecture. Part of the appeal of liminal games is that you're in a familiar space, usually occupied with people, that's now mysteriously empty. This game removes the familiarity of the environment completely. Everything here seems unfamiliar, so there's no emotional conflict, no dichotomy. Well, just my two cents anyway.
@RavenhomegamerКүн бұрын
Yes I kinda get what your saying, they really can lose the childhood creepy nostalgia associated with Liminal spaces. I think these poolroom type games are evolving into something else and possibly there own genre. Thanks for watching:)
