Amazing Trailer Kraken! Keep up the good work! Also hello! Requester and Creator of this MU here and if you all are curious about the connections, here it is! Core Theme: Male Protags of 2000s Obscure Cartoon Martial Arts show that involve a lot of shapes and sizes who are also known as the greatest warriors of their respective village, a strong sense of Honor and helping Friends. They are the successor to the man they taught how to fight and continue their legacy and follow their footsteps after their deaths, especially having the new rivalry of their enemies against a blue tyrant villain leader who is planning to take over the world. List of Connections: -Both are honorable and quiet in black male protagonists from obscure Asian Martial Arts-influenced Cartoons made in the 2000s and are really unique in shapes and sizes aswell -In the show, both seem to have a less of a backstory but they do have a tragic past that has something to do with a man they have been closed to died in it (Lin’s Master Tien Khuan and Garu’s Father), they then have a goal to reestablish their honor and follow their footsteps -Both have that running gag in their show that covers their honor personality (Lin being a passionate artists and being obsessed with it and Garu being chased by Pucca for love) -They are the biggest and noticeable warriors/heroes of their own villages/kingdoms (Hidden Kingdom and Sooga Village) where they have been respected a lot fighting against an evil blue tyrant (High Roller and Tobe) -Both of those blue enemies also happens to have their own “man” having a rivalry against theirs before as they are now continuing the rivalry as of now(Shung Ming (High Roller’s Master) against Tien Khuan/ Garu against Tobe’s fathers) -Both have friends who train with them on their sides and have fought evil numerous times (First Squad and Garu’s friends: Pucca, Abyo, Ching). Also both have similar friends who have a crush on each other even if they don't get along a lot. Abyo and Mighty Ray are the Hard Headed Buddies of The Male Protagonist who also wanna surpass them one day and there is Ching and Mystique Sonia the girly friends who have their best pals who wear them on their head (Yaksha and Ching's Chicken) -Associated with Black Cats (Lin having the Panther Spirit and Garu having his pet black cat) Also btw its actually pretty close Strength/Power could go either way either you have Garu scale to his durability cause of taking hits from Pucca or Lin because he is shown to be stronger thanks to his Harmonic Energy and scaling to some characters like Mighty Ray and holding the heat of the Sword of Dark Fire and was able to defeat Twin Masters who had the Chaotic Energy of the entire universe when he consumed all the Harmonic Energy of the Heroes of Big Green, to me personally I don’t think Garu should scale to Pucca in terms of strength cause he isn’t really a strong guy nor a god like her but I will give him the Durability/Endurance cause he took hits from Pucca like sending him to another some sort of planet/universe in the solar system, I could say the same for Lin cause he survived a blast from Twin Masters but it’s kinda confusing to me to scale either buy it or not, I'll give the durability advantage to Garu just to be safe (or even Attack Potency). In terms of Attack Potency depends on what you buy for both. Lin is mostly going to either Island lvl but higher scaling is either High Planetary-Universal due to Twin Masters and Garu could go to Mountain level but his highest scaling is to Solar System to possibly universal too because of Pucca because she has wacky feats and suffer lots of abuse from that, but both sorta might not scale to the highest ones due to not having the same abilities as them and it gets debunked to lower levels of AP. Now for Speed, in Moving speed Garu takes this due to running around the world and running through (Massively Hypersonic) making Lin hard enough to chase and take a blow, but...he might catch him because In reaction speed Lin takes it in scaling to Mighty Ray who dodged lots of sun beams from the Crocodiles (putting him probably on Light to FTL speeds) so Lin takes the advantage. While both seem equal to IQ, Battle IQ, experience and skill due to being the best warriors in their village, Im kinda leaning towards more on Lin a bit cause he is older than Garu. So when it comes to weapons, Lin has only a bamboo staff Garu has a sword, shuriken, a Power Ranger like suit, transforms into stones, he pretty much as a long ranged of weaponry but then there’s abilities/hax. Sure Garu has his powers from his Lightning Amped Form and Astral Projection but Lin Chung's Harmonic Energy is said to accomplish any task (so basically like a lantern ring IG?) making perfect counters for Garu literally throwing at him. It's shown to make illusions, help travel through time, fire manipulation, resist mind control, make shields, break the laws of physics, telekenisis, increase stats and etc that can be perfectly counter Garu’s weapons and IDK if Garu has counters to the Harmonic Energy. So this Matchup might be more closer than you think it is cause Garu is tougher while Lin is faster and haxxier... tho IDK if im really good in power scaling nor VS debating. Animation Potential: you see Hero 108 and Pucca like when you are a 2000s kid, you might see both animation art styles and aesthetics look similar. From their designs involving shapes and sizes, the way they move and using the same poses in 2D Animation. You can have this Aesthetic for an In-House Hand Drawn episode like Omni-man vs Homelander and Rick Sanchez vs The Doctor, one of the most peakest episodes involving a Hand Drawn fight. But how does the fight go? For the starting conflict, the fight starts with Lin Chung attempting to draw a painting in the middle of a forest but then the chase of Pucca and Garu being involved causing Lin’s painting to be ruined either falling and Garu stepping on the drawing or having Lin making one single mistake on his drawing. Since both are skilled warriors,there is so much fast pacing in this fight. Their main weapons are a Bo-Staff and a Katana, where both go offense and defense each other from every single attack they are using, you can use Lin shooting Bamboo shots against Garu’s shurikens. There is Lin Chung’s Harmonic Energy power bouncing off every Ninja Technique and Arsenal he has: There could be an illusional clone fight between the two, Lin using his Harmonic Purple Aura against Garu’s Lightning amped Form where both can throw lightning attacks at each other, Lin escaping Garu’s statue spell on him, there might be Garu using his Astral Projection form where he uses his soul to give Lin a hard time fighting him as a ghost, only for him to still get hit with Lin’s Harmonic Energy cause he used it in fighting Tien Khuan’s Soul before and is basically his own Green Lantern ring, making him a Deus Ex Machina. Death Battle always love to make Episodes that feel like it’s a crossover between the two, like having vibes from both shows, combining the elements to each other in one fun animation, like HD Episodes like Jack vs Afro, Scooby vs Courage, Omni-Lander and Rick vs Doctor. This fight could do the same if you let Pucca to save Garu from fighting Lin like be involved like Eustace in Scooby vs Courage… speaking of the Dog Battle on Season 10, you can have a chase scene with Pucca chasing both Garu and Lin for different reasons, Pucca wanna make out with Garu while wanting to kill Lin. You can also have them going to other episodes on DB like Deadpool vs Pinkie cause Pucca in her series is shown to make portals and travel to other universes. She might be able to leave Lin there only for Lin’s Harmonic Power can BFR him back to his world, I thought of a climax of a cool falling from earth galling state where Lin teleported to outer space can make a Giga Drill break with his bamboo spin technique (similar to Scooby’s Asura Wrath reference and Spongebob falling back to Earth). There can be a clash against both Lin’s Big Harmonic attack against Pucca and Garu team up where one of them would explode in the end as their death because not all Death Battles should end in bloodshed cause both shows are meant for young audiences. The aftermath would be funny, both combatants make a big crater after the explosion of the clash only for either of them to appear as ghosts like Lin being a Purple Soul similar to Tien Khuan’s Dead Soul or Pucca and Garu being blue ghosts/souls seen in the cartoon. Now I know that MU doesn’t seem to have interactions when it comes to Garu and Pucca not talking in their respective series and most Lin’s Matchups have better interaction potential I’ll give that (which I'll talk later). However, we do have Raiden vs Excalibur where they just fight instead of talking back and forth but it was a cool fight. In this matchup, Lin would be talking to Garu sometimes and would observe what’s happening with him like his next moves and Pucca being involved, he’ll just ask if he’s confused and monologue about his next attack. Track Potential: THE POTENTIAL FOR A TRACK OF THIS WOULD BE A BANGER! Hero 108 and Pucca have shown to have Rock BGM Music, it can be a combination of Forever Terror Night Shonen Showdown with the Hero 108 opening and ending song anad Pucca’s Funny Love song. If there were vocals like Forever Terror Night, either ChickNameDD would sing like in that track, or have the original singer (also the voice of Pucca) Tabitha St. Germain as a guest singer like WhatbBrandon Yates inviting cool guests in his tracks like Dragon Dance (Singer of Bury the Light) and have the friggin voice actor of Squidward on Explosion in E Minor DEFINETLY MY FAVORITE FOR BOTH NOW!
