@@Miraie93 Young Lin Dan was maybe just as fast and explosive as Lee Chong Wei but since winning everything worth winning he changed his playstyle to prolong his career. LCW is also amazing for keeping up with his famous playstyle up until he was forced to retire. LCW still dove and got low for defensive shots.

Lin Dan has this steady and smooth footwork, going with the flow of the pace of his opponents LCW likes hop alot, resulting faster speed when moving along, I would say he is steady too

LD made a big mistake signing up the contract with YONEX. A player like him would never play US Open with all unseated players. Just look at his body language, no interest to play and just hanging in there. It's not fun to see your favorite player not enjoying his game..

Perfektion Perfektion doesn't matter. You saw what did yesterday? He just doesn't want to play all tournaments..
@terencedoherty30496 жыл бұрын
I don't believe he flew 12 hours because he didn't want to play, especially when he is signed up for the Malaysia Open next week. He just expected to waltz through and collect a check. I saw the match. He was playing, although rather half-heartedly, and slower and much less aggressive than Lee Dong Keun. I think he figured it would be an easy 5 matches and he'd win the tournament (probably without dropping a game), collect a paycheck, and get in a nice tuneup for the much more important MO. And why wouldn't he think that? It is reasonable. LDK has never gotten more than 16 points off LD in 9 previous matches. I am sure he shocked LD because he came ready to play, and was the aggressor. You could see in the 2nd game especially LD was trying to turn the match around, but he just couldn't. He tied things up at 11-11. It could have gone either way at that point. But then LDK took control and pulled away. He surprised LD by pouncing on a loose return net shot, then absolutely fooled LD on a flicker, leaving him stranded. That was just too much humiliation for LD to bear. He knew he couldn't win, and just gave up. The "injury" was BS. Bet that "injury" won't stop him from playing in the MO next week. I think you gotta give LDK his due. Yeah, he caught LD on a bad night, but still: he came prepared and determined, dictated the pace from the beginning, never let up, refused to be intimidated, and it paid off.

Nam Doan i believe that lindan requested to join the us open because he wants to enjoy the states with his family hence his withdrawal using ‘injury’ as an excuse.He never would have signed up for us open if he actually wanted to win the tournament since us open so insignificant to a player of his caliber
