The visual effect of the game is much better than other tournaments. Other tournaments should follow suit by using the same lighting and choice of table color. Make watching table tennis game more enjoyable is beyond sports. It is entertainment!

Unfortunately for the Olympics we will probably get that light blue table again. Whoever thought a light colored table would be a good idea?

One of the best matches this year alongside FZD vs Timo. I quite like this format, put alot of pressure on the players not to make a single mistake and many players are complimentary about the grand entrance and the lighting. Makes it look really grand. Superb from LYJ, should have won way earlier but made many mistakes because of the hidden serve from JWJJ

There were some Waldner-like services from Jang Woojin. By that, I mean borderline illegal in today's game. Lin had to jump back for the weak backhand return so many times because the spin was virtually unreadable with an arm in front of the ball. That being said, even with that somewhat questionable service, Jang played really well. His forehand from off the table was superb, and it very well may have been anyone's game. 1:26 and 1:45 Jang's Forehand 2:01 and 2:54 Lin's Backhand 4:56 6:10 6:40 9:07 11:52 Jang's Forehand... Again! 12:21 Point of the Match
@mortuc15 жыл бұрын
Calling them borderline is very gracious of you. I think its safe to say we can call them illegal the way he hides the contact point with his body on some of them

JWJ of Korea had several illegal serve where is the judge.
@pool_tl5 жыл бұрын
Are you a fan of Lin, haha? Spending that time typing these and watching those replays?
@@mortuc1 I hesitate to do so, as it's not technically illegal if the opponent or referee doesn't raise an objection. It's kind of like the law, with which whether you break it is largely dependent on the people enforcing it. It happens all the time in sports, such as basketball, where whether or not you get a foul is dependent on the referee. As a bonus, Lin won the game anyway, so no harm done in the long run, I would say.

Great match and Great video quality. Lin is a rising star and Jang Woojin is a tough competitor who is dangerous at times. The score and time limit rules are stupid beyond belief. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. The standard best 3 out of 5 or 4 out of 7 win by two format is fantastic. These rules were very clownish.

Lin got to improve more on his forehand side. Especially from 5-10 feet away from the table. He lost most of the points when being forced to backup. But looking at the bright side, he won a close match. Sometimes, winning a close math worth a lot more than a blowout.

It's absolutely absurd that this female commentator could keep her job. With her discomforting and dull tone of voice, she managed to pronounce Jang's name wrong even after the male commentator has said it properly for multiple times. I thought the names of players are the only thing she is able to contribute, yet she redefined my expectation again. How professional.
