Everyone is different. I absolutely love their products. Eyeshadows are highly pigmented because they are professional grade. Skincare does have a fragrance but to me it has a natural therapeutic smell...which I enjoy. And their skincare works!! I sell it because I fell in love with the products first. Then joined. 3 years later, I’m still here. Pro-grade, pro-quality.

Every single thing you said is 100% spot on! The Facebook groups are insane. Not to mention trying to keep up with all the chat groups. A big problem I had with LL is that a lot of the products were always out of stock. I started out when LL was in its infancy. So many clients/customers got turned off because of all the out of stock issues. My upline was such a snob and rude most of the time. She told me that I wasn’t very good at my job if I focused on the out of stock items and not push products that were in stock. So what are you supposed to say when someone wants a mascara and it’s out of stock for THREE months? She rarely had time for me once a team of someone else was rolled up to her. I witnessed so much catty mean girl nonsense. Don’t even get me started on one of the corporate heads. He is absolutely VILE! The site of him makes me cringe. I witnessed so much hatefulness from that guy from the time he was hired till I left the company. For the life of me I don’t understand Michelle Gay’s mentality on keeping him with the company. So much underhanded gross things went on. Now, a lot of the TOP executive level beauty guides left LimeLife just recently. The company is definitely not at all what it was when I joined back in 2016. I miss it, I truly do. The products are wonderful, I had a great time. But I can’t be a part of a company that employs someone like him that is over so many, that depend on their incomes.

I’ve been a part of 2 MLMs and with the first one, it started really well. I advanced quickly but soon felt like it was difficult to keep up and move forward if I wasn’t “hustling” the same speech over and over. And that it was not easy to maintain clients or downlines. Im sure it works for a VERY small percentage just like not everyone can be a doctor or lawyer or cut hair :) btw, Lina is my stylist and she is a very good stylist. Back to MLM, I am still with both but with the 2nd one I’ve learned the selling factor is not me. I stay on because I love some of the products and as a member I continue to get better pricing, period. I think people need to dig deep into what truly drives them and explore how to apply that passion to a career or simply a hobby to enjoy. Trying to grow a MLM business is not as simple or effective as it looks. :/

I just happened to run into this video looking for something else. I'm sorry for the experience you had. We're always making forward movement in simplicity of onboarding and have a new app coming out that takes all of the running around to get trained away. I too am a very in person/hands on retailer and have found ways to work this business both on and offline. (Well more online now of course). I help train people on how to grow a network based off of your personal experiences and how you can help others (in and out of makeup) vs using our personal friends/family to grow. I am sorry you didn't get the experience you were looking for and thank you for expressing this is your own experience. Many people don't include that statement in a review and with so many people with different experiences it gets confusing when opinions get stated as facts in other videos. I just wish we connected sooner so I could have guided you to check some of that training out. I wish you the best of luck in all you do!

Oh and pigment with eyeshadow. since everything is 50% pigmentation, the colours will come harsh because it was made for tv. i do mine very faint and its not harsh. that way the product lasts so much longer too
@sklptdhair
@sklptdhair 4 жыл бұрын
The target market is every day women, not TV, so that defeats the point. To have to over-blend the shadow so it appears faint is too confusing if you're not a pro and comfortable with using eye shadow.
@rachellaunder92

Lina Waled i mean I guess I’m not a professional makeup artist, but I personally do not have to blend a lot and it doesn’t come up too bright. Also, why use a drugstore brand that you need so much product to hardly see any colour. I would rather have bright colour, good, clean healthy products than not very good product that you need so much powder to make 1/8 of the colour we get with half the product

There's a reason I left ;) You're on your own for the most part unfortunately. If you feel you can't do this on your own I would get out if I were you. You're going to have to buy product for inventory and unless you have a client base as a makeup artist I don't think it's right for you. It's very pricey for products that perform OK. The skincare is okay. CeraVe is better lol. The price I showed is in Canadian dollars.

But to be honest the product is waaay too expensive and I will Speak from personal experience that the customer service is garbage. Basically as soon as they sell you the product, they don’t care anymore. That was my experience anyway so even tho the product is good I stopped using for those reasons….. I was able to find another brand that works really good as well. So I think they need to lower prices for sure.

You can not only reach customers via internet but you can do in person 1x1s. Now, they have it were you pick out your own business kits, either just makeup, skin care, or both. Yes, there are several Facebook groups but to me you can pick which one really works for you. I follow about 3. When it comes to customers, they do things that include customers. When I do my Go Lives I try to keep mine around 15 no longer then 30 mins because I know people have busy schedules. It is not for everyone. I really like their communities.

I appreciate your honesty, I just wish you didn’t use the “pyramid scheme” term. I was with Limelife for 3 years and left because the products were too expensive and because of the fees. I would love to see you try Farmasi makeup and do a review on it, simply to see what you think of it from a makeup artist standpoint. It seems to work very well for the “every day” woman. You may not like the scents though if you don’t like scented products. I had to get used to it but I do love the affordability and the quality.

"A pyramid scheme is a business model that recruits members via a promise of payments or services for enrolling others into the scheme, rather than supplying investments or sale of products." Lina Waled -With Limelife (I was there almost three years) I averaged $1500-$2000 paychecks. I eventually left because of the monthly website fees and the annual $75 “re-enrollment” fee. I also left because of a newer company starting in the USA. I agree with you that those fees sucked (I think it was you that said that). What I did enjoy about Limelife is that they allowed you to earn back products for free through party rewards. I usually got all of my makeup for free myself. I was a good retailer (sales) and enjoyed it. I had months where I sold $4000-$5000 in products. If you are a good salesman, you can make profit without a team. Not everyone is good at that though. It takes years of commitment to learn and get better, just as any corporate job. Now that I’m with Farmasi, we pay zero fees. No inventory. I’ve consistently made $4000-$20,000 with Farmasi in the last nine months, from beginning to present. I never have to buy anything to stay active because I have built a solid customer base. I understand a lot of what you’re staying and I’m sorry you had a bad experience but there are women in this business who work with integrity and massive hard work. Years of dedication. It’s just not fair to call it scheme. We are in the sales field. We share what we love, people have the option to buy or not. As with any business out there, you have to spend money to make money. Mary Kay has been around for years and years and I still have family members who refuse to buy anything else. There are some bad apples in this business but we’re all not in the same batch. Thanks for letting me talk to you about it. I’m not trying to sell anything to you. I respect your opinion.

If you wanted all those products, then yes..you'll have to buy them. All of the best selling products were in your kit, except for the foundation, which of course can't be in the kit because everyone is a different shade. It sounds like you didn't have a very good upline, cuz there's already mock parties available to everyone, and no one should ever be left "on their own"! I'm sorry it didn't work for you. It truly is an amazing company. I've been here 2 1/2 years and it's made me a better person in so many ways. Unfortunately it does happen that people leave, and it's a sad experience. I had an upline that I loved dearly...she was top seller & an incredible leader, and she up & left one day & it sucked when I got put with someone else. SHE didn't suck, but the drastic change did. I just had to take everything she taught me and keep goin'. 🤷‍♀️ Anyway...I appreciate that you didn't bash the company & mentioned the things you liked about it, and not all the bad stuff. Unfortunately a lot of people do that after they leave. Good luck to you! ❤
