The sky people (most of them) voted for a guy whose politics were about colonizing the land killing the grounders on it in order keep their peace (opposite to the other guy whose coalition politics were about sky people and grounders becoming one). Lincoln was trikru (one of the ckans from the grounders) and Octavia and that other guy were trying to escape with him. Then the sky people's president figured out and decided that Lincoln would either give up escaping or he would kill all the other grounders that were being kept as prisoners. Lincoln decided to give his head to protect his people. ps: He saved Octavia's life on season 1, that's how they met. ps2: Bellamy (octavia's brother) was one of the main guards who supported the dude's government. ps3: Lincoln's death was devastating because he was one of thise characters who only did good things and always sacrifice himself for others.

I first seen this edit last week. And it's the best one that I've ever seen of their story. I cannot watch it without bawling my eye's out. It's so beautifully done. You're correct it really show's the depth of their relationship. As you mentioned you can really see her pain in this video and why she ended up going down the dark path she did. One of my favorite relationships of the series!! Love Lincoln!!
