Lincoln City Clamming - Learn To Clam at Siletz Bay, Softshell and Purple Varnish Clams

How do you remove the sand from this purple varnish? We left it soak.in water for 2 days, and still had a bunch of sands in it.

Hi Combo Blue, I've tried everything including five days with oxygen and temperature controls, still some sand. So we manually clean them and use for Clams Casino, Spaghetti, Linguine, etc.. But steamers are not good with sand? Let me know if you here of a way to do this!

Hi Inhoug, go to my website at www.razorclamming.com and look under locations. There is one section for Razor Clams, and another section for Bay Clams with all 12 Oregon Bay Maps, each bay has a legend so you can see specifically where in the bay which species are located. Happy Tides!
