Oh so very cool, I bought a 2007 MKX yesterday at an impound auction. No key, dead battery, shredded spare. But, the three legged dog had a new (paper sticker still on tire) tire mounted on the 8 spoke wheel hiding in the back. I was about to go to walyworld and buy a battery. It occurred to me that if the doors locked when I connected the new battery I would be seriously screwed. I will look for that note with factory passcode before I do the new battery connecting. I am still in shock that a mobile keysmith will likely want $300.00 to setup a key. Next time I go crazy at an auction no keys, no deal. Thank you, and have a great Memorial day.

Omg you are a life saver!! Why do they not tell us you can find the factory code there?! Owners manual says contact the dealer, dealer says give us money, 🖕 them.

This was a big help. Right where you said it was.Thank you so much. On my car I didn't have to take off cover once I got down in there and looked. The white sticker was right there under the wires. The car dealership wanted $179 to hook up machine...so they say...what a rip off!

When all they might have done is look at the sticker anyway.

Yeah, I had the same situation for mine just the other week. I refused to pay for them to do it.
