LINCOLN PARK - Driving in one of the most affluent neighborhoods in Chicago

Lincoln Park is a designated community area on the North Side of Chicago, Illinois. Lying to the west of Lincoln Park, Chicago's largest park, it is one of the most affluent neighborhoods in Chicago.
Lincoln Park's boundaries are precisely defined in the city's list of official community areas. It is bordered on the north by Diversey Parkway, on the west by the Chicago River, on the south by North Avenue, and on the east by Lake Michigan. It encompasses a number of neighborhoods, including Lincoln Central, Mid-North, Old Town Triangle, Park West, RANCH Triangle, Sheffield, and Wrightwood Neighbors.
Lincoln Park is home to Lincoln Park High School, Francis W. Parker School, and DePaul University. Many students who attend these schools now live in this neighborhood. Lincoln Park is also home to five architecturally significant churches: St. Vincent de Paul Parish, St. Clement Church, St. Josaphat's (one of the many so-called 'Polish Cathedrals' in Chicago), St. James Lutheran Church and St. Michael's Church in the Old Town Triangle area of Lincoln Park. Visible from throughout the neighborhood, these monumental edifices tower over the neighborhood, lending the area much of its charm.

Thanks for the ride! Is this neighborhood isolated from crime from other areas? Or is it getting less safe? I'm thinking about moving there but I don't know if I can trust what I read online about Chicago.

You are going to be safer in Lincoln Park than anywhere else close to downtown area. The safest neighborhood in Chicago is Edison Park.

Yes there’s money in Lincoln Park but not as much as in Evanston a little farther north

I think Lincoln Park is more expensive than Evanston. The real money is still farter north.

Not true! Lincoln Park and DePaul are significantly wealthier than Evanston. Half of Evanston is in poverty or not much better; the more affluent lakeshore area is nice, but not as nice as LP and DePaul.
