Good video. No pursuader needed (chuckle). I find with old electrics that taking them apart and putting them back together 'fixes' a lot of things due to lose or coroded connections. But better to just replace one this old. like you did. And you now have a motor to play with. thank you fr sharing

yeah had to give the persuader a break, lol. In most cases New is better than a 20 year old one when it comes to electronics.

I fixed mine a few minutes ago. That paddle switch presses onto the electrical connectors for the motor. There is only one screw holding it tight. That screw is screwed into the acrylic plastic. Over time the plastic around the screw cracks allowing the paddle switch to slightly separate from the motor. When you push it in it works for a while until it jiggles loose again because the screw isn't holding it tight.

Having the same issue but with a 2010, replaced the motor but still the same issue

You fix it? have a 2010 as well and have been facing this issue since i got it after a dead battery.
@esepinchearod4558 Жыл бұрын
@@whitegoodman7465 no not yet but I was reading that there's 3 separate Motors 1 for the trunk pull down motor "which I replaced" 1 for the trunk release motor "which I think is the one giving me the issue" it is located on the tunk lid, the one with the emergency exit latch connected to it, and then the last 1 is the trunk lift motor which is located on the driver side in the trunk hidden by the trim carpet stuff in the trunk but easy to get to If any 1 of these 3 malfunctions or gives out, then none of them will work properly since they operate all at the same time from what I was reading, so I need to replace the 1 I know might be the issue and hopefully after doing so this will fix the issue Sometimes it can be a sensor but I checked them all and they're all okay
