Linda Clair 'Enlightenment is in the Body.' Interview By Renate McNay
Linda is a Meditation Teacher based on ZEN practice. She is the Author of the book 'What do you want - Conversations about Enlightenment.'
In this interview which is the second conscious.tv one with her Linda says that enlightenment is the beginning of a whole new way of living and although its the end of suffering and fear, there is no end to the practice as long as one is in the body. To be fully free you need to go through being grounded, so grounded that you’re able to let go of everything-even enlightenment.
Stay in your body. The silence is in your body. Its not out there. Stay in your body and you’ll be surprised what happens.
To really become immersed in the silence, you need to free your body - purify your body of the past. Only then will there be silence and that silence is overwhelming. www.simplemeditation.net

Thanks Renate and Linda for a valuable interview. I like your gentle, sensitive style of interviewing Renate. You do more than interview, you participate in the experience and that adds more depth. Thankyou.

We tend to think we are our body/mind. And from that vantage point, we want to be enlightened. Going past thinking we are our body and mind,=no one there to be enlightened.

I understand that most genuine methods talk of gradual transformation of the bodies. I take this to also mean the non physical bodies which we inhabit. Each aha....experience is followed by slow integration. I started in the 60's with TM and it's more advanced components which still plays a part of my life. What I got tired of was all the baggage, rules, brainwashing that went with. The simple method here is excellent, I will incorporate. There is no goal to achieve, consciousness is never ending creation......we can get to flow with it without resistance or separated ego... who knows, it's lovely.

Im wondering why the "SACRAL CHAKRA" most important part of the body? Linda say that she also focus on that part, and I also heard that before here in ConsciousTV one of the interviewed by Iian McNay but I forget what is the title if that interviewed.

The ego never gets demolished totally. What happens when you become enlightened is the ego dissolves. It still there just in different form. It has less influence over the self.

This confuses me really because it seems different to what David Bingham or Tony Parsons say about awakening. Linda seems like she still has that identification with the self by comparison.

Interesting. DB does say, in an interview, either on Conscious TV or on the Sedona method channel, that you're always meeting someone who's more advanced... further along. *

Agree. It seems very different. I keep wondering if we should somehow (i don't know how) get a definitions of terms dictionary. To me, what DB and his like say is very clear (the lineage being DB, John Wheeler, Sailor Bob Adamson, Nisargadatta Maharaj and back) and it echoes teachings by ET, Spira etc. And for me, what they say fits exactly into the ancient teachings of Advaita Vedanta. When you realise (beyond the intellectual understanding) who you truly are - pure awareness, pure being, pure consciousness or sat, chitt, ananda. There seem to be endless interpretations of what it means to be "enlightened" - awake, aware, self-realised etc etc but most agree that it is a limitless journey which begins with realisation.

Enlightement is not the top, but in my view it is the basis, the buttom from all. Everything is removed, the room is empty my heart doesn’ t struggle anymore with so many emotions. I can see clearly Now! 😂 I did not ‘ reach the top’ ..... I was more freed from my identity concept. It is so big but also sooooo Simple. We are not better, of higher, of wiser, we are just done with our lives.

Being a teacher of consciousness is a real test to ego. People will give you their souls if they think you have the goods. I could only take a few years of teaching TM, it split me in two. I could maybe do it now, because I don't need it. However I would not for other reasons.

Nice interview. She is genuine. But when she's says she is getting smaller and smaller and there is absence rather then presence, she will say later that she is bigger because she will know she is everything that appears which is total presence. This will happen when her realization matures into God Consciousness, then she will see the Divine in everything, where there is no difference between emptiness and form.

People are so stuck on the wording when language is just a signpost or "finger pointing to the moon". One spiritual teacher might means something quite different than another using the same term. I think it is wise to get to know more about the teacher before jumping to conclusions.

I hope that this is taken as constructive rather than negative. 'Journey' and 'energy' seem like odd choices of words for a teacher as they are vague. I would love to have known what Linda meant by them.

@@centrino538 If space, silence, and presence are qualities of "our true nature," then our true nature must be an object. Something cannot have experienceable qualities and not be an object. so many enlightened teachers say they are realized... if they don't say it outright because of the confusion that words/terms create, they describe it... all of them describe it. But... I can see it.
