I wish I had someone to talk to about this kind of stuff in life. No one else seems to be interested with this path of understanding a few profound things that commonly go unnoticed. I identify with her on many levels. One thing you see with this ego death and enhanced, more sensitive awareness, is the stark, hateful ignorance and vehement judgment many engage in. When I went through something similar in life, I understood that I loved who I was becoming, but began to disdain more of where most others were going: material acquisition, completely self centered emotional impetus, complete lack of honestly altruistic desire... Essentially, I feel that I see many others living by this dry, Competitive Game Theory type perspective (sometimes this extends to one's immediate tribe. But even that is relatively rare, in a sincere capacity). Where I feel that I started to become different, is the beginning of this paradoxical regard towards others. I start out with an unassuming, absolute loving compassion and a place of total empathetic desire to serve towards everyone and this tends to progress towards a hatred of HOW THEY HATE AND JUDGE THEIR FELLOW MAN/WOMAN... It's a strange place to be; having access to a well of infinite compassion, while also having this line I draw at those who hatefully judge others and have this completely self centered perspective (that is often attempted to be hidden via insincere, status quo behavior). How do you love (or even interact with properly) someone who seeks to perpetuate suffering of those most in need? There seems like a rampant loss of spiritual virtues... Much emotional disturbance and cognitive dissonance in my life truly comes from the external due to this. All that makes sense to me is love and service. Now, it's simply all about finding who I don't absolutely disdain serving. I'm so willing to die for anyone, AS LONG AS they don't perpetuate this (very easily identifiable) self centered hubris that is rampantly spreading... I really feel that I need to find those who I can whole-heartedly team with, in unwavering support; separated from the aforementioned void of soul... I wish I understood this pathology within myself more fully.

What is thought?how does thought appear?As a baby in your cot, do you think?you cannot think,as thought comes as language, a "voice in the head"we are taught language and store this as memory,therefore,thought Is the past,as memory is the past.Without thought, what is the perception,or better said,who is the perceiver?If we perceive through thought, are we perceiving "what is now"?we cannot.We can only apply the past (memory) to the now, which is an "overlay" of words to the perception as we have it, a DESCRIPTION of "what is" rather than "what ACTUALLY is",this is the point at which separation arises,the separation of the perceiver and the perceived.This is subjectivity,perceiving from a "center", which is the "me" or ego.The "me" is the conditioning of the brain,received from the moment you are taught language, this conditioning becomes more complex and intricate and, as we get educated,we become part of various "group" consciousness-es.the nationality,the carpenter or the soldier, the academic, and so-on.so we go through life interpreting (through language,words,thought) from our conditioning,from our past,form this "me" which we think is an individual.This "me-go" which is the root of separation,inevitably causes conflict,between how we really are, and how we THINK we should be.This "me" conflict inevitably causes conflict outwardly, between various group-consciousness-es, and nations,creeds,nationalities etc.The thought "tree" is not a tree, it is a memory of a tree, described in words,the thought is not the actual thing!The word describes the memory of the tree, to the "ME-GO".As we become intrenched in conflict, we seek to escape it,ignore it, or accept it(conform).we attempt to build a better "me", through be-LIE-f systems,religions,drugs,meditation,or any of the things invented by thought.The very thought that we need to become something better, IS the ME, and so we seek to "improve" by the very entity that has caused the division.therefore we engage by that means, in further separation,further alienation from "what is".The "me", this so-called individual (so-called because it is a mixture of group consciousness-es), is not an individual at all, but an accumulation of memories and taught,conditioned behaviours.Can we simply observe a tree without "labeling" it?can we simply observe,without this center, the "me"? This is the ending of conflict, the ending of the "me", the ending of separation.There is nothing wrong with thought, don't get me wrong, we need it to organise ourselves in the outer world,and in such a capacity, it serves us as a faithful servant.But when it is the master, it is the "ME". the source of separation and conflict.Can we simply observe without the "ME"?.We can't learn "how to", because that is the "ME" trying to learn, trying to use time to "become better" is,simply observing without the "me" an ACTION OF ATTENTION?
@tonkarts10 жыл бұрын
Thought doesn't come from language. Verbal languages are only tools invented/refined by humans to help develop our minds more quickly and in a more organized uniform fashion. I'm pretty sure Helen Keller had thoughts running through her head before she began understanding conceptually the connections between sign language and object association: i.e. water, grass, food etc. Language is only one of the filters that helps define our conscious minds and perception. 1Love!

If a baby (3 month)needs milk, what makes it , how to act, to get what it needs? also intresting; when starts memory to work as a baby? maybe it tells something about losing pure awareness.
@tarangita5657 жыл бұрын
What does no-mind mean? It is difficult to follow but sometimes, unknowingly, you have achieved it, but you may not have recognized it. Sometimes, just sitting ordinarily, not doing anything, there is no thought in the mind -- for mind is just the process of thinking. It is not a substance, it is just a procession. You are here, I can say a crowd is here, but is there really something like a crowd? Is a crowd substantial or are only individuals there? By and by individuals will go away, then will there be a crowd left behind? When individuals have gone, there is no crowd. The mind is just like a crowd; thoughts are the individuals. And because thoughts are there continuously you think the process is substantial. Drop each individual thought and finally nothing is left. There is no mind as such, only thinking. But thoughts are moving so fast, that between two thoughts you cannot see the interval. But the interval is always there.

Humbleness cannot be claimed. If you are humble, you are humble, but you cannot say it. Not only can you not say it, you cannot feel that you are humble because the very feeling will give birth to the ego again. Be empty, but don't think that you are empty otherwise you have deceived yourself. You have brought many philosophies with you. Drop them. They have not helped you at all, they have not done anything for you. It is time enough, the right time. Drop them wholesale; not in parts, not in fragments. For these few days you will be here with me just be without any thinking. I know it is difficult but still I say it is possible. And once you know the knack of it, you will laugh at the whole absurdity of the mind that you were carrying so long.

To me this feels like doing a long and well analyzed path of cosmetic surgery on the personality to become a virtuous, compassionate, surrendered, patiënt, respected person. This is a highly dual teaching that has little to do with truth and freedom. I feel no love or happiness coming from this speaker, no inspiration or Joy. There is a lot of effort going on to complete some imagined path to spiritual perfection.. Wholeness is not like that, it is simple, direct, natural and has no virtues. It just is what happens, it's unpolished aliveness.
@luceatlux70873 жыл бұрын
I see where you're coming from. You have more of a self centered and even competitive perspective. It's very masculine. Her vision of enlightenment involves more of a focus on harmony and compassion towards others. Virtue is important in a wholistic sense and a supportive role. It's probably less important in some darwinist sense of living in your prime to the fullest. Your more assertive vision of joy has a less sensirtive regard for others. I'm more tuned in with her perspective. I can't go live with boundless joy and freedom from recognizing the needs and/or suffering of those around me. Those who I have met that have more of your perspective tend to have the perspective that it is everyone's own duty to take care of themselves. I have more of an intrinsically supportive stance that acknowledges some accountability for the well being of those around me (to a greater degree). edit: i'm not saying anyone's wrong or right here. we're just talking about different personalities.
