Excellent performance. Linda is an amazing vocalist. For those saying her voice isn't the same, it has matured. This is more or less an acoustic version, also less delay, which is giving a different effect and sound..

I’ve seen Linda perform in person more times than I can count and never been disappointed. She is remarkable! Her voice, her personality and her sense of humor combine to make her one very special person! I listen to her sing for hours every day at home and in my car and never get tired of her voice. I never get tired of her Vlog either. Her voice has changed a bit through the years. It has matured as she has grown in life. And as much as she still idolizes Judy Garland I honestly think that Linda has Surpassed Judy. Barbra may sing I’m the greatest star but we all know it’s really Linda 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

People are so damn judgmental. Of course her voice has changed she was in her 30's when she did the ladies of broadwway, here she's in her 50's and she is making the correct decision to alter the song to preserve her instrument for longevity. If you are a vocalist and still judging her, shame on you. If you are not a vocalist then your opinion doesn't hold any validity.

Okay, we all have our off days. Linda Eder is still at the top of her game. Her vocals and great songs on her " Retro" CD is right on.People shouldn't be so quick to criticise on one performance. So maybe it wasn't her best rendition...LET IT GO.

And I don’t get the issue with this performance she sounds fabulous and I’m also digging how forward her voice is rather than further back as was the sound with the full orchestra. SING Songbird!!!!

I am having a hard time understanding why people are whining about her voice. She's aged like 20+ years since the Ladies of Broadway concert. This happens. Your voice changes as you age. Jfc...would love to see any of the tender little complainers in this comment section do any better.

ATTENTION EVERYONE* - Quit saying things like "what has she done, or where is her voice"- This is completely natural. The only thing that has happened to her is age. That's it. Your voice is just like every other part of your body. It ages..At her age, she still has amazing control and technique- but over time, the voice weakens, just like everything else.
@jillsalkin7389

You are right on the money!! Think of how it is to be a singer who is known for powerhouse songs --- nearly every single one of them. And it's the human body ---- all kinds of factors affect the voice.

@@Zamstein Agree. Here she didn´t achieve cross from a Fa to a Mi sharp as in Broadway concert. This song is not for everyone, and even for her is not for everydays. Besides that she is amaizing

I can tell it’s in a lower key but not being educated in music I don’t know how much lower. I will say she still has an excellent voice. The only reason she didn’t reach that highest transition sounded more like loss of breath than inability to hit the note, it was there. Also, the 98 broadway performance had a FULL ORCHESTRA behind her so her voice to me did get a little lost in the orchestra though it was superb. I really enjoyed this as much as her younger voice. If anything, I love how her low notes are fuller and she can resonate now in her low notes. When she was younger her low notes were not as full and rounded and phonetically as clear as they are now from what I just heard. ✌🏻

I don't hear much remiss with her singing here, other than that high whistle that she tried and pulled out of. First, the sound is so dry, like no reverb at all, so when she pulls away the mic for the belts, it's as if the volume drops off. Second, the mix is too gentle. I can barely hear the drums. And it makes the whole performance sound lethargic . I am not sure it sounded that way live in the venue.

this does not sound like Linda in her prime. My guess just age and not exercising her voice properly. I've seen her in concert. This is not her usual standard of excellence... jinda shocked.
