I'm 84 now and it was music like this that formed my view of romanticism - I fell in love with a beautiful young girl - I courted and eventually married her and now after fifty five years of marriage, we are both still in love - I still get excited when I see her after we have been apart even for a few hours. When I finally stand before the pearly gates I will turn round to take a last look at the world I am leaving and be grateful for the wonderful life we have had together.

And Show Boat opened on December 27, which is my birthday (though Show Boat is much older) so it holds a special place for me

Julian was born in the town my husband I were born in and I feel that there is a kind of rapport (silly I know). Julian and Sierra are two of the great talents of our generation. The only singers to sing this beautiful song from “Showboat” as well were Howard Keel and Kathryn Grayson in the movie, “Showboat”. Sierra and Julian are consummate singers!
