Neil Diamond who is in early stage Parkinson't presented a song on KZbin last week. Someone on the comment thread there told me Linda has a neurological condition which manifests as Parkinson's. Doesn't make losing Linda's voice any easier for her or her many fans. It made me cry too.

Lots of big name musicians backing Roy on this one. names like Jackson Browne, Bruce Springsteen, Bonnie Raitt, K.D Lang, Elvis Costello, T Bone Burnett, Tom Waits, Jennifer Warnes.... @@2869may The way I see it, the original is almost always better, especially for a great song like Desperado. Very few covers in history were better than the original for the simple fact that the original always has the meaning intended by its maker, especially if that person sings it. It's the meaning - singing bond that can't be replicated easily.

She suggested to them that they should form a band and The Eagles were born! She is so supportive of her fellow friends/artists. I’ve never heard a single negative thing about Linda. 💕

My mother bought a jukebox when I was around 8, Linda Rondstats album was in the jukebox. My sister and I would listen to it repeatedly. Our mother committed suicide when I was 10. Linda was my sister’s favorite music artist; she wanted so badly to see her live. Sadly my sister passed away in 2014. So when this song plays I breakdown. My memories are heartbreaking. You see my little sister was my best friend. This song is a reminder of my losses.

This song is probably why she sounded familiar to you. It’s a great one but please don’t stop here. She has so much to choose from in many different genres. Try “Tumbling Dice” or “You’re No Good” or one of many duets or even Mexican love songs in Spanish. Long colorful career and many many awards. A true star.

You can't imagine how gratful we, Old gals 'n guys, are to TOO for educating next gens on the deep and broad music excellence that came out during and shortly after the Vietnam War Killing, from Kent State to the destruction in SE Asia. Rock 'n Roll is here to stay, with love from this aging Rolling Stone, still gathering no moss (well, perhaps a little) Love your show and more so, your persona . . . Bequeathed songs, to you! 🎵🎧🎻🎷🎸😍🤗

One of the most beguiling voices ever. She has Parkinson's Disease now & no longer performs. The CBS Sunday Morning Show recently did an interview with her. She said she doesn't have the control of her voice to really sing. But she's still spunky & outspoken (including politically). She was also one of the artists honored at the Kennedy Center Honors in December. It was a beautiful tribute & I think it's here on KZbin. One of her biggest hits was "You're No Good", you're bound to know it. And if you've seen "Man On Fire" there's at least one scene where Denzel is listening to Linda sing Blue Bayou while trying to rest & relax.💙

I'm forever blessed to have grown up listening to Linda Ronstadt. This was a HUGE cover because the original, by the great Roy Orbison, is boss. Boy, did Linda do it justice. She sure did.
