I can speak but a few words and phrases in Spanish, But Linda's lovely voice with the beauty and emotion of the music move me and lingers on long after. I am of mainly of Irish descent and perhaps it is because these traditional folk songs of Mexico were sung and developed over hundreds of years, just as Irish, Italian and (pick your country of origin) the rest of the world, sing of the people, the land, the hardships and joys we all have in our ancestral heritages. Recall the moments with Dad,Sister and Uncle at Dad's back yard..these tunes were sung and sung far into the night...Denver,Colorado....How do I miss those times..More so missing Dad,sis,unk all have joined in heaven above..Forever my family my love will be true always and forever I'll love you all..In the autumn of my years I value entertainers such as Linda Ronstadt,and Eydie Gorme,they be not Spanish,yet performing as such..Never would I have thought when digging Linda and the Stone phonies getting down in a jive joint in Hollywood. I'd be mesmerized hearing and seeing Senorita Linda in concert of Mexican musica de mi papa in person and now this treasure of her magistic talent again in my own living room..Los Angeles 2023..

Love how this woman after making it as pop artist icon in the Anglo American world came roaring with this album to acknowledge her Mexican heritage. I remember her singing Mariachi dressed in full Mariachi style in one of the major English language networks. I had never seen a live performance in any language other than English on an American awards show on one of the major networks at the time. I respect how she wanted the pop world to know how proud she was of her Mexican heritage. Beautiful woman and singer.
