Linda Ronstadt sure does this song justice! Thank you for sharing!

I think she and her voice is a pillar of peace and love. Linda already gave me energy by her records when i was deep deep down, might said rock bottom. For those feeling hitting the low ground I adress: there is always a layer lower.c

But take the example of axl: he was a depressed lousy blackstár whe he got the call to be the substitute lead singer of ac/dc, the band he was growing up on as his heroes. And then, God gave him thr opportunity...

Linda makes me wish I could understand Spanish. I was listening to the Glenn Miller version on my iPad and had to look up this song. Yo no hablo. I also like the Spanish version of Roy Orbison's crying by Rebekah Del Rio.

An excellent version is in la Billo's Caracas Boys Mosaico 17 (performed there by Jose luis Rodriguez, one of Venezuela's finest bolero singers). If you really like boleros, check out Felipe Pirela. He was called "The Bolerista of America"

The entire album "Fresnesi" is amazing. Her last album before the Parkinson robbed Linda & us of her greatness. Some idiot hipster critic gave a bad review: Despite the acclaim for this album, in the 21st century Roch Parisien rated the album poorly in his Allmusic review, writing: "...there's little that sounds street level or rootsy about these sessions. I can't help picturing a wind-up lounge band holding court at some tourist-trap Holiday Inn in Acapulco."[1] Find me that Holiday Inn, I'd like to go there. It cracks me up that the biggest phonies are the one who are perpetually so hung up about "authenticity". The fact is, most music critics prefer mediocre singers so he'd never be a Ronstadt fan. kzbin.info/aero/PLDWHjEOIEom1zcz_LdQYKUK77FSmcPVi9

Wrong. This album is from 1992. Linda did not start having vocal problems until 2000. She made a few great albums after this in the 1990's.

Beautiful song, and beautifully sung - however; Linda actually mispronounces a word in this song - Te he buscado por DONDEQUIERA que yo voy She says, "te he buscado por 'DOQUIERA' que yo voy - There is no such word; "DOQUIERA". She still does a fantastic job, but sad that she's Mexican, and doesn't know how to properly speak Espanol. Que lastima!

Doquiera is in fact a word. It's an antiquated word, from Old Spanish, that people rarely use. It means "wherever." Many versions of the song use dondequiera, but "por doquiera" is also correct. I learned this word only recently when I asked my father, who is a native speaker of Cuban Spanish, the most well-read person I know, and also, incidentally, a professor of Spanish linguistics, about the word, because I'd never heard it. Go ahead and google it to confirm! You shall see. From what another friend (native speaker of Mexican Spanish) tells me, in Mexico they sometimes say "doquier" without the "a."
