I know everyone always says this- but Linda literally always knows EXACTLY what to say. It’s so insane how her videos line up almost perfectly with what is going on in my life and my growth as a person, especially in 2021. I have learned so much from her. She is honestly like a friend and a teacher. When she posts, I feel so encouraged and SEEN. And honestly, even when she DOESNT post consistently I learn things. I realized that at one point I was relying on her videos to get me through the week, and that Helped me understand that I needed to rely on ME to get me through the week. Linda, you are such an inspiration and your story has helped shape the journeys of so many people- myself included. I love you so much it’s insane and I hope 2022 brings you all the joy and happiness in the world ✨

@@strawberrytiramisu You will. I was in a binge-restrict-cycle. It may sounds weird, but my friends helped me so much, without even knowing. They ate whatever they wanted to, they ate, when they were hungry, just like healthy people did. I was so impressed. They are happy, beautiful and eat - not binging, not restricting, they just eat. That influenced me. I decided, that I don't want to count every fricking calorie. I don't want to live like that. So I ended it, from one day to another. I didn't restrict and I didn't eat the stuff I know the calories from. And you know what? I am happy, I eat when I'm hungry and I feel so much better. I just eat, I don't count. And somehow, my binging is away aswell now. I eat like a normal person, and I was stuck in that cycle for almost 2 years. You can do it, you really can.

(therapy is helpful but only when it’s consistent and i wasn’t lmao, so that’s my bad.) your videos help a lot with my brain and telling myself it’s ok when i mess up and that i don’t have to punish myself by eating more, restricting or exercising to the point of serious pain. i know u do this for so many of us but i’m so grateful. between u and a few others who talk abt mindful eating and enjoying the capacity of ur body even if it’s really hard to, i feel so much better. i’m still struggling but there’s a little weight off my chest that’s gone. thank u for all u do

Hi Linda, I am currently struggling a lot with food right now. I'm not in a good place and haven't been for a long time, even though there are so many people trying to help me. Everyone around me has done so much and tried their hardest so that I could get better and none of that works. I found your account about two months ago and out of all the therapy, food lectures, and hospital visits I’ve been in, YOU were the one who helped me better realize that it's ok. That it's ok to eat the foods I want and not be afraid. And that it's ok to stubble across bad days. Whenever I get those days where I'm lost and tired and feel like I have no strength to eat or do anything anymore, I go on your channel. Because you give me hope. You help me realize that there is a whole, happy life outside the one I'm currently stuck in, and that there is in fact an end to a long tunnel. I haven't given up yet because people like you are giving me hope. Thank you so much Linda for being a huge inspiration to so many people, including me. You saved my life and I will always appreciate you for it

I know exactly what your going through. Despite being 7 years now recovered I still have days where I punish myself especially when I eat unhealthy food. Over the last few years my weight was literally dropping off due to unknown health issues. My lowest weight went down to under 40kg. Trying to gain the weight back was so hard and scary because I had to eat over 3-4,000 calories. Saying I wasn’t triggered or had bab body image days I would be lying to myself. I’m happy 😊 because now I’m back to a healthy weight but because I’m at my heaviest I’ve ever been I’m sadly struggling with embracing/loving my new curvy body. But watching your videos especially your latest videos has been really helping me so thank you so much Linda!

Thinking about the nutrients is great advice. In 2021 I went through a really bad mental period with food, and one of the main things to get me out of it was changing my mindset to this. I’d recommend thinking about the “good” foods this way too, because you don’t tend to feel the need to train your mind to eat food that doesn’t freak you out, but that can leave this distinction in your brain between “good” and “bad” food. It’s also just empowering to feel like you’re doing well by your body by eating, you deserve to feel that wether you’re eating your fear foods or having a balanced lunch or a cheat day or you’re bodybuilding or training for a marathon or literally just having a snack while you watch Netflix. Break the distinction in your head, the point of a healthy lifestyle isn’t restriction, it’s balance.
