I love the a8 use it as a wallet and holds all my insurance cards and important doctors card , I also use it as a inbox for my hobonichi weeks so I don’t have to carry my planner around

Yes, watching online videos and pictures didn’t give me a good size impression. Now I’m tempted to get a Filofax mini for comparison sake 😂

I have found ALOT mislabeled sizes on Amazon. I had to have cheat sheet of paper ISO sizes to make sure I knew what I was looking. I found personal size binders as well as refills labeled A6. I suggest to anyone to look at the paper size refills against the standard paper size to make sure you’re getting the size you want. You are correct, this is NOT an a8 planner (2.9 x 2”) but an A7 (4.1 x 2.9”). Their A9 is actually an A8. A9 is 2 x 1.5”.

@@Lorelei_Thoughts oh my, so confusing!!! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. It’s like size of planner or size of paper… ahhh! I have noticed listings saying a6 planner which isn’t a common size and as you said it turns out to be personal 😑

@@tortagialla it’s the paper size not the size of the planner that determines the size because imagine how small the paper would be if the “A8” planner was 2.9 x 2 inches 😂

Your reasoning about paper sizes are completely right. The five ring (mini) binders accommodate A-7 pieces of paper, alas often the A-7 paper will hang out a little to the side. A-8 paper is half the size of A-7, as you say, and it fits an even smaller 4 ring mechanism (I only have one binder that size, and can find any more). A-9 fits three rings on any binder with 19 mm space between rings. Alas, some shops on Aliexpress use the ISO standard names to call their non-standard size binders: A-6 for the equivalent to Filofax personal, A-7 for the equivalent to Filofax pocket, and A-8 for the equivalent to Filofax mini. And, therefore, many people use those wrong names in their videos all the time.

I'm trying out the A9 three ring binder now 😅😅😅 with bigger pages than in it, in faxt, i could even fit the A8 pafes in there. I like the apricot color in moterms. I have it in the pocket size

@@katsmith8263 nice! I did see that moterm has a9 in veg tan leather as well - so tempted! But moterms in general seems very spacious, good for fitting larger pages but not as portable I suppose. I am trying to use what I have and see how it goes… but I did get a pocket size for a different purpose. LOL I love planners! Thanks for commenting!

Do you think you’ll keep it? I’ve heard it’s not difficult to return things with moterm if you decide it’s just too big for what you have in mind. I have had several moterm folios and have been so pleased with all of them. My veg tan midnight is so nice and has improved with time. I think the price is super reasonable. I haven’t tried any of their ring planners- I’m definitely curious. I was glad to see they make a “regular” personal size as well as the luxe. I don’t see myself stuffing my personal binders and I like a slim fit. I might try one! It would be great to be able to replace the rings if you want/need to.

Ah yes moterm is an affordable brand and also all the rings are the screw type so you can change them up. Now I’m thinking maybe I should just put in slimmer rings!? And I think I can return items but I’m going to keep it in my collection. I’m not sure what I was imagining - like a tiny thing but maybe I just have small hands too - so watching videos of other people is not good reference! I might get a Filofax mini and see the difference 🤣
